I recently started driving and I just found out that personal insurance would not be sufficient for uber, so when you do income tax return, and report insurance as an expense, wouldn't the CRA notice that the insurance expense is low and look into it? to check if you have commercial insurance? please help me out, thank you

What? What does CRA has to do with your insurance?

CRA stands for Canada Revenue Agency.

Yeah, I'm concerned that when CRA checks, it would show that I reported so little insurance expense, would they then check to see if I had commercial insurance, and report to my insurance company?

I worked as insurance broker in the past. Once CRA inspectors came to our office and asked all the information we had on a particular tax payer. She was on welfare and had 2 Harley Davidsons. She was probably frauding the CRA, they cared. Frauding an insurance company=not CRA's problem.
