What happens if you get deactivated for not driving?

Has anybody ever gone through deactivation? What happened exactly? I know if you don't drive for 3 months then they close you down but how does that work if you want to drive again later on? I heard you send them an email but do you keep all your stats and ratings and such? Is it a fast process? I think we should all leave feedback in the app regarding this issue. We should not be deactivated if we don't want to drive. Lyft never deactivates you. Any info. on this out here?

There are some here that claim they haven’t driven in months.
    I don’t always believe them.
But I’m sure they’ll chime in soon enough.

I didn't get deactivated until my car was due for reinspection. I hadn't driven for 9 months prior to that. I stopped because they lowered the rate to the driver. They lowered it even more, I uninstalled the app.

They'll run another background check, then you'll be good

I drive at least once per week to avoid the possibility of inactivity-based deactivation.

I haven’t driven since the Titanic went down in 1912, and I’m still active... :p

Seriously though, it’s been 3 and a half months now and still no deactivation (maybe it’s coming, who knows). I suspect that when any of my paperwork expires they flag me.

I’m told that they check to make sure you haven’t had anything come up since last background check and then reactivate (but haven’t gone through it yet). Best to check with green light hub, someone has probably gone through there with the same issue.

What happens when you get deactivated?

Your breath is always good, even first thing in the morning.
    You stand straighter,
    look better,
    feel better.
    Your teeth are whiter.
You hang out with rich people, and
get a really really cute girlfriend.

    Think about it.

Aren't you really trying to ask if you must drive her home for free?

Right? My wife always wants to know "when are you going to stop driving?" and my answer is usually something like "when you and the kids stop eating, breaking things, etc."

Seriously we went thru a period where it seemed things needed constant fixing...a garage window, the garage door itself, car stuff, the washer/dryer, etc. And our eldest presumably goes off to college in a mere 7 years....would be nice to pay off our debts before that.

Last instant pay, still have the $0.50 balance since then.

You mean negative 50 cent balance.

Uber let you do that instant pay in good faith.
This is how you repay them?

Stealing a fee from Uber (given how often they steal from us, even if it is only 50 cents) sounds like justice to me. :D

I know the old Uber rule was you have to give only 1 ride a month to stay active but like most old Uber rules things change.

Why does the Texas map look like a dart board

My SO didn't drive for about 20 months. All he did was update the insurance etc. and was good to go. He never got deactivated and is even still at 20% rates (although it's not a % anymore of course).
