Call them before you get there if possible.I am increasingly annoyed that pax dont come out for a long while. Its annoying that they come out just before the 5 minute mark. what do you guys think? why dont they start comming down when the car is close by?
Uber sets the guidelines for wait time not the passenger , to a passenger getting out the door or on the elevator that 5 prob seems pretty quick but to us seems like an eternity specially dwntn ..just a rant but these people have no decency . a 4 dollar ride and made the driver wait for 5 minute and no apology and request for USB cord and tissue paper. gee.
Your Ubers @@@@@ customer is just a by product of that .Because your time isn't worth much to them. They feel that you are the privileged one to be able to be paid peanuts to drive them from Point A to Point B. They would also believe that anyone who would choose to drive for Uber, doesn't care much for their time, especially when there may be the perception that you make $50/hour.
So what do you do?
1) You could cancel the ride, yell out something like "FEET THE CURB @@@@@@@", and then drive off; as soon as you see them coming out in an effort to teach them a lesson
2) You could have a talk with the pax during the trip and inform them that that you would appreciate them being ready when you arrive. While you face the likely possibility of an uncomfortable ride and a 1 star rating along with a complaint to Uber about your conduct.
3) You could just accept that you are the pax's Bit-ch and just deal with it
