In this report, Uber is providing a comprehensive overview of information that was provided to U.S. state and local regulators and law enforcement agencies between July and December 2015.

While the report is interesting in its own right, I think as a driver ... it gives us a quick snapshot as to how many drivers are in each reported area ... which I've summarized below. *note there may be more drivers than shown below, because Uber only reflects how many affected drivers in each region, which could infer that there are more drivers than shown on the report. ** in the case of multiple reports, I only reflected the highest number reported by Uber *** I also didn't include all cities/states included in the report; not that I have a biased against them, but rather I didn't want to recreate the entire report

  • California - 299,000
  • Chicago - 95,000
  • Houston - 14,000
  • Las Vegas - 4,000
  • Nashville - 4,000
  • Nevada - 22,000
  • NYC - 37,000
  • Oakland - 24,000
  • Portland - 6,800
  • San Diego - 8,000
  • San Francisco - 44,000
  • Seattle - 10,000
  • Virginia - 77,000
I did find 2 glaring errors on the report, as someone at Uber reported that 132,000 drivers are in Ft. Lauderdale and 139,000 in Washington, D.C. ... so either Uber's not good at proof-reading (most likely) or they are bad at math (also likely)
