Uber-Taxi Standoff at Toronto's Union Station

Cab drivers say Ubers are now using designated taxi stand areas even though they’re not supposed to. Tina Yazdani with the growing tensions and ongoing feud between the two taxi services.

Should Uber drivers have designated area to drop or pick-up passengers at busy locations like train stations or airports?

 

Taxis pay a stupid sum of money for those sorts of pickup areas. There are other pickup drop off areas in sure.

 

Yeah, there are apparently ones just farther up which anyone can use. But due to the high traffic which occurs during rush hour around the station, especially the road where the taxis can park. Seen passengers get out for sometimes no point waiting in traffic if they can just get out at that moment.
