I think is good think to stand again this monster
Good luck

ATTENTION UBER DRIVERS!!!

Dear fellow drivers
Manchester, London, and Birmingham will be going on strike on
06/06/16 at 06:00
For 24 hours
Until next morning 06:00 basically.

The reason for all this is because uber is starting to force drivers to stay online longer to send jobs and obviously about pricing.

Please forward this message to fellow drivers/friends

PLEASE BE OFLINE FOR 24 hours

Don't let uber control you!!!

Just ridiculous. As self-employed drivers, you effectively would strike against your customer, that is the Uber who hired you under his conditions...The same as would a plummer or a builder strike against a company who subcontracted him...just LOL.
Find another company who needs your services there are still plenty of them.

We maybe self employed but we do contract to an agency who books works for us
I don't think drivers are striking against costumers, just the money making booking office, who signed us up on certain conditions and then after they got us trapped into investing vast amounts of money, they began to move the goal posts, putting on new conditions into our contracts which we had to agree to or you can't log into the devices
Somebody needs to challenge these unfare conditions, but I don't think the uber drivers have the balls

No man, passengers, effectively, are Uber's customers. you are just Uber's subcontractors, you can sign his contract or not, or work for Uber or not, your choice.
The strike would only be meaningful if against the current law, that is, to change the current need for a middleman between you and the paseenger.
