Uber Select "Mafia"

I recently got a new car and it now qualifies for SELECT which I love. Ive had some good rides and have found a good groove. Ive also recently learned about this uber mafia nonsense. Is anyone interested in doing anything about this?
I know Uber knows about this and just takes their Uber fee without asking questions. But what if the word was spread about this? What if a news station picked up this story? Would Uber be forced to bring down the hammer since some of these rides are done by "fake" drivers?

Sorry for the delay but let me explain. I will use an older post and just copy/paste it here.

Every UBER driver should be aware what is going on:

1) The Select mafia is flooding the Uber select que with their select vehicles. I've seen a driver (with inkjet printed placards) pull into the lot, get handed a new phone by another Select mob guy, and then exit the lot in another car to pick up a passenger.

2) I've seen an Select mafia member enter the lot, exit his car and walk over to another parked car, open that car door and pull out a new cellphone. Then that same driver would exit the lot in minutes while other non-mafia select cars continue to wait for hours.

3) I've seen an Select mafia member walk over to the adjacent TCP lot and exchange phones with a mafia member waiting in a black TCP car. The Mafia members are probably using the TCP lot as a staging area for their "phone farm."

4) I've seen Select mafia members circle the Jenny Lot in a car, and as their car passes by, every regular Uber driver's que will get reset. How are they doing this?... I have an idea, but not ready to post it here...

5) I've heard reports that Select mafia members pretend to be passengers (using dummy accounts) and request non-mafia drivers to go pick up a bogus non-existent passenger on Century (beyond the geo-fence) and then cancel right before the five min mark. Thus, the non-mafia driver would lose their place in the que and the mafia group would move up in the que, without paying a cancel fee.

6) I've seen old Select mafia men (and one Mafia lady) hang out at the lot and never take a ride. What do they do? They manage all the phones and make sure they are ready to be swapped out when one of their mafia members arrive. They manage all the worker bee Mafia FOBS.

7) I've seen an LAX official in a white natural gas powered CIVIC (short thin guy, bald, ) have long conversations in Select language with the "in charge" Select mob guys. Does this Select LAX official condone what is going on? Looks very shady...

8) Passengers are at risk. Who are these mafia drivers? I doubt these drivers have gone through Uber's background check. I doubt they're the drivers listed in the partner app. They're just FOB drivers recruited by the mafia to make money monopolizing the select que AND scam Uber for the referral money.

9) Did you ever get a text message from Uber that the SELECT que is full, but you look around the lot and it's barely half-full? Where are all these phantom select cars that are in the que... it's the Select mafia phone farm...

10) Signs you're in the Select Uber Mafia:

You drive a white Lexus ES300 hybrid and swap this car with other mafia members. This is the car of choice.

You try and have the same hairstyle as your mafia members and look as similar as possible to fool passengers.

You swap phones.

You hack and manipulate the airport que.

You use drivers who never signed up with Uber.

You use phony airport placards.

All this talk of how the "scam" works in the pig pen but I don't see any video evidence of this activity. My guess is no one has a video camera to record these actions. No smart phone with video recording capabilities?

That's all rubbish. I let you in on one of the tricks. This will be the ONLY secret I will revile. For LAX customers we can hack into a customer request for uberX and it be changed to Uberselect without there knowledge. It always has to be to a home address. Before the ride ends we tell the customer "you requested a UberSELECT" point to our waste, point to there home address.... You get the message right? We have a perfect understanding.

To all of " mafia " experts ,
What are you fishing here ? And are you afraid to post from your real account ?Cause all of you are a " new " member here.

Suggesting I am part of the "Mafia" is wrongheaded. My time at the airports consists of dropping off passengers and getting out of there. With 12 months of driving I am just now getting comfortable with many of the Orange County areas. No need to compliment that by waiting 20/30/40 minutes or more for a Select ride when I can move somewhere I know and get one, or more, quicker.

All this might or might not be true. Those guys like to use numbers to their advantage. You can counter some of their shenanigans with some precautionary measures.
