It has been surging for three hours in Mississauga and Vaughan, it's not for no reason.

It surges more the more you zoom out. Changes when you zoom in. This is dynamic zoom surging, gives a more 3D feel to the app.

Here is screenshot of pax app at the highest surge point. Normally there's one ping here an hour if less. Today there are 8 cars visible within 2 minute walking radius. Yes walking. 8 is the max amount of drivers shown, Im sure there's more.

So according to logic, uber is surging areas with the most amount of drivers. The more drivers that go in, the higher the surge. This is what drivers have been asking for. The ability to create their own surge. The drawback? No pings.

If this was the case it would be Ruby red in Brampton or the downtown core.

Gas prices should stabilize once refinery productions is back up and running. It's not like oil has been driven up substantially. Gas was 107.9 in my neck of the woods last night. I even saw 105 at one spot.

Mind you I find it funny how the prices per gallon in the USA went up 30-40 cents. And our prices went up 25 cents per litre (roughly $0.90 to $1.00 per gallon).

Same problem, we both get bent over, but in Canada they forego the lube.

Yep they were trying South Etobicoke yesterday, and Vaughan. Today it was Malton and Mississauga. North and South. They lost a lot of riders recently with the price hike on August. They need to increase prices agian to keep all drivers "out there" till minimum wage increase, so that McDonalds and TimHortons employees can take Uber to work again.
