I have stopped driving uber x 2 weeks ago . ;) only drive uber black / VHA now. For uber black you can not get so many 5* rating what every u do :) anyway most pax tight as rich people, so most of the time they get 1* from me unless they tip me :)

Uber x rating 4.94* uber black rating 4.77*.

Now I found out why Fuber is working so tightly with ATO. They give all the drivers' payments information to ATO and in return get pax's income information from ATO to adjust their fare level?

the only way uber will listen if is there is a mass exodus of drivers. No drivers no uber...

But, as we have seen, people will continue to drive for uber even if they know they are being scammed

Are you serious? Are you truly implying that the ATO is handing over personal information to Uber?

    That's not a silly idea.
UP is not the best location to try humour unless it's slapstick.

Just looking for clarity! Your inputs are always insightful and I was pretty sure you were taking the piss but when there is so much dross being said on this forum it doesn't hurt to check

Getting back to topic, the concept of a different fare the passenger pays and what the driver receives could be problematic in the current tax arrangements between the ATO and Uber. The GST on the total fare would need to be disbursed which, under the above scenario, means Uber would have to pay a portion of the GST and as we know that ain't gunna happen without a fight from Uber
