Uber for a Jump Start !

I got the craziest Uber request yesterday..Accepted an XL request at home and received the phone call right away .. The guy was asking if I have jumper cables, I was like What ?? He was saying his car doesn't start he needs help and he can pay .. I asked if he needs a ride or not .. Couldn't get any clear answer and suggested him to call a road service for the jump, not Uber :smiles: He then cancelled the call, not sure why but Uber paid me the cancellation fee..

Obviously he needs a bigger battery hence requested Uber XL ..

Weird people !

One time I got a lux near my house over night from a big condo building, I got a call immediately after and she said she would give me $20 to buy a pack of newport's.

Showed up and she gave me $20 and another $10 for the smokes. Looked like a stripper/escort. Was going to consider rider no show but didnt in case the dude was gonna send her home on lux.

Never got that ride but will keep the cash.

This is more popular than the jumpstart

One time I picked up a guy on the side of the road. Brought him to the gas station. He filled up a can. Topped off my tank. On the way back to his car he slid me a $20. Then said he has another $20 if I put the gas in for him. Hey if I could dodge a ball I could dodge traffic.

I will transport anything unless it's like a kilo of cocaine which would require a huge tip with a badge and nice comment

Rman actually I think there was 2 times where someone hammered topped off my tank with their fleet gas card In 2 years for stopping at a gas station lol

One time I got a pick up at Ross and got a call to buy a black leather belt and to bring the receipt and to bring it to him. After calling him to verify the sizes I offered to buy 2 and return the one he wasnt going to use

He forgot to pack a belt and was in a rush and I showed up and I think the belt cost $40-$50 and gave me $100 and didnt have to return the other belt

Sometimes it's a set of car keys there are countless non rider rides I have done in 3 years lol. I kind of enjoy them it's a nice change

Getting non-pax requests is a risk, but the one time I got one it worked out nice. I got a ride from downtown ft.laud to aventura, to deliver a suit. I of course made sure to take 95 instead of us1 for the extra miles. :smiles: even though there was no traffic at night. the suit was a 5 star pax. I haven't gotten a jumpstart call yet, but I'd be totally willing. honestly even for $5-10 bucks it's better hourly pay than minute rate.

Do you take the delivery rides? Show up to a business in Fort Lauderdale and they hand you a document asking if you can drive it down to Miami for a client.

Do you say yes or no to that ride? I said yes
Got same request earlier this summer from WPB to MIAMI d’oral area. The nurse comes out on the curb and hands me a large envelope to drive it to doral. I was puzzled and since she was obviously a nurse or similar I wanted to know what was in the envelope. She replied documents and I believed her. So drove down To doral and to the drop off location (another medical office) and the nurse there screamed her lungs off from joy saying “... omg the tubes and syringes from west palm office. I thought they would never come on time “ oops , no docs but syringes. Next time I’ll be more specific on my questions

I’ve heard of sending mail and/or small freight by Greyhound bus...guess Uber/Lyft can do the same...
