Gave another D.C. Uber hq employee a ride today. Minimum fare no tip. Probably my 6th or 7th employee-all no tip. But, that also might have been due to me complaining about Uber -lol.
Btw, D.C. Uber hq address is:
1717 Rhode Island Ave., NW

memorize for your own good.

You just tell to them this story....

“so I get this ping to go pick up a passenger from the strip club located just north of the airport in the worst part of town. I get there and I’m waiting forever... 15 seconds before ready to cancel for a no-show the Dalai Lama gets into the car along with three of his entourage. Man they smelled like they hadn’t taken a bath in like two weeks and certainly reeking of pickled herring. It’s late at night and they want me to drive to the Taco Bell so that they can do a run for the border in the middle of the night. They order 25 tacos and two beef burritos with no cheese. I drop them off at the motel studio six. He gets out of the car and pokes his head back in and tells me that I did a good job and he’d leave me five stars. I’m like, “Hey Lama you know how about a little something for the effort...?” He comes back to me with a response that on my deathbed I will get TOTAL ENLIGHTENMENT! So I got that going for me!”

Uber never changed their policy tips are still not expected or required. The addition of a method that allows for the collection of tips within the apps does not change that at all.
