Trip fare adjustment

..or when it's the pax that demands you take that route?
If that happens, best to email uber straight away explaining that. They'll still adjust the fare when rider emails but then you'll have to remind uber that you've already explained the situation and they'll put the money back in your account.

Ha Ha they take you lot for right mugs you watch now the odd £5/6 per week (if that hasn't been happening already) will start coming out your money 'The Passenger complained we had to give a refund etc' Its like 1000s & 1000s of punters getting their accounts hacked 'Oh that don't sound right email Uber support Blah Blah Blah' Then they offer free credit to the people who's accounts have been compromised by UBER & no one else this firm is losing money at a rate of knots.PS Have you ever wondered why they campaigned not to have a landline even though it's Parliamentary law ? F$£K me from October 1st whats going to happen when they will be required to have a landline ?

Passengers will expect us to go faster way but also in a straight line. Not looking good if every pax spreads the word that their getting £2/£3 back from each ride.

This will probably effect the decent drivers who know few short cuts to avoid traffic but as there are so many newbiews who only follow the sat nav pax will ask for refund as you did not follow the route shown or is showing to them.

well, this is clearly a self contradiction on Uber's part. They say they are a technology company and not a mini cab operator, and being a technology company if their partner (or slave) follow a satnav (technology....yes??) why on earth they would be penalised for whatever route is taken. Its technology we would be following, no ???
Now, if there are experienced drivers on the field who know lot and lots of shortcuts, that's brilliant. However knowledge was never a requirement for uber, and that is why lots of people came into it. Why is there an expectation now? Its like changing the rules once the game started..

Okie i understand what you are saying, but in a screenshot do you really think its fare to the rider? He should've take A3, Hampton Court and then Heathrow but instead he took A3 all the way to M25 to Heathrow. Driver made 17 mile journey to 31 miles. So because of drivers like this uber adjust fares.

exceptions will always be there, no doubt!
But what is annoying is, when Uber just blindly listens to riders without any consideration to their so called partners... it seems the riders are encouraged to take Uber for a Ride !!

It's fair if he's using Ubers sat nav because it's worst sat nav and Uber supplied it so they should refund the pax but not take it off the driver because they don't want to invest in sat nav like Addison Lee which filters traffic and does shortest route.
