I can't believe the number of RS drivers out there right now. I went out tonight for the first time in a couple weeks and there had to be drivers staged at every casino. I drove for two hours and got 3 rides. I feel for you full-time drivers, it's rough out there right now. Uber/Lyft must be making some pretty big promises to lure all these new drivers.

I didn't drive for 2week until yesterday. I had no problem getting pings .I just wish more people learn how to give $.I always tip my car wish guy no matter what. This is 24/7 get drunk town and now get high town. I know one dispensary shop that stays open until 3AM and there's always someone up there that needs a ride. Why do I see "No Thanks " button on all my pings? "no thanks" button drivers can use to decline rides". I hate locals. I hate pool. I don't accept pool pings. I don't drive after 5pm. I stay the hell away from where locals hang out .

Wait until they ALL want Christmas money.

The part timers and new sign ups will STARVE the full timers to death.

Google play store has over 100,000,000 downloads of the drivers app. Probably another 10-20mil on IOS. Too bad uber doesn't do much business in China and India, could go over 1bil downloads.

Aug and the week of Christmas are the worst anyway. I went to the strip once yesterday and saw nothing but RS drivers

1/2 of all cars on the strip at any given time have RS stickers on them now. I look at you guys not just with contempt, but also pity. That's right - a lowly cab driver is pitying you

Merely from a traffic perspective the number of RS drivers allowed needs to be capped, not to mention from an earnings perspective for you guys (and more importantly, us)

I do drive. I kicked out 2golfers today. I hate golfers. I think golfers and pool people are cousins.2golfers got into my car at cosmo....after I tapped the "start" the address was some where west on spring M....so I asked them where they are going ....they said to play golf and it's 30 minutes from cosmo. I look at them and I told them sorry I have to canceled this trip you have to get another driver....they told me they paid for the ride and I have to take them there I started LMAO......and said you didn't pay for the ride I didn't drive you anywhere. .....they go what if the other driver won't take us like YOU.....I go look I don't know what the other driver is going to do. I have to go. Have a nice day . uber charges them cancelation fee. that sucks. oh well if they take a cab they would pay $65 or more with uber they are paying $30 or less. Golfers don't tip. uber gets $15 the driver gets $15. I don't drive more than 20 minutes from strip.

I've seen thousands since April. Everyday more and more week after week the line is continuous at the hubs for both. Even the pax comment on how many drivers are here coming from big cities. A surge was very rare this weekend. 120+ cars airport not counting lyft. Now throw in the drivers who cut deals with locals or tourist for not going through the platform what's left? The down hill slide continues with people thinking it's a money maker.

Oops!
You can't cancel a ride after you start it. Only pax can do that after a driver hit start.
Knew you were full of it.
Hate to disagree with the queen, but if you never leave or drive a such a short distance it doesn't register, you can still cancel. It won't let you complete, another screen will pop up and mention that ride was to short and if you would like to cancel.

This is true, but in my experience you don't get the cancellation fee when cancelled after a start. So the story still doesn't quite add up. Plus that's just dumb turning down a long distance ride.

I think it's smart of drivers to go to the airport even when the Q is showing 120+ at least that way they know they'll eventually get a ride request whereas if they stage or drive around the strip they might never get a ride request.
Yes, keep doing that. Greaaaat idea. All of you go to the lot right now and stay there.

Lol where are you all staging that you aren't getting constant pings on the strip like me? Driving up and down aimlessly?

What's the rationale of the drivers who still go to the staging lot with a que of over 110?

Let me try this again. I think it's smart that people go to the airport even when the Q is showing 120+ at least that way they know they eventually get a ride request whereas if they stage elsewhere or drive the strip they might never get a ride request.

I'm just speaking from my personal experience. I had started a ride, had not moved and the pax said she wasn't going to take the ride. It was a battle of wills. I refused to end a trip I didn't take and she was refusing to cancel. Trust me, had I been able to cancel I would have saved a good 20 minutes that day. Finally an Uber lot rep made her cancel the ride.
