THE ACCELERATOR GUARANTEE

We've listened hard and carefully to your feedback on our incentives, and are delighted to launch the brand new "Accelerator Guarantee"(effective tmr 4am Mon 17 Aug). Read carefully below to learn about how it works.

The Accelerator Hourly Guarantee is your new minimum hourly guarantee, which rewards you for more trips over peak times.
WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEAK HOUR GUARANTEE, YOU CAN EASILY EARN OVER $3,000 PER WEEK!

You're automatically enrolled into this new incentive program, you DO NOT need to opt-in.

HOW YOUR INCENTIVE PROGRAM IS CHANGING

To make things simpler, we're also combining all of the peak hour blocks across the week (morning, evening and weekend).
HOW IT WORKSYour Accelerator Guarantee is based on the total number of peak hours you're online each week, and the average trips you complete per peak hour

EXAMPLE 1 : If you're online 42 hours during peak time and complete on average between 1 and 1.5 trips per hour, you'll make $28 per peak hour (total $1,176 in guaranteed fares).

EXAMPLE 2 : If you're online 42 hours during peak time and complete on average 1.5 or more trips per hour, you'll make $35 per peak hour (total $1,470 in guaranteed fares).

We've put together a short video tutorial which explains how it all works. Make sure you check it out!

average 1.5 or more trips per hour, this is almost can't be done.. i have a 95% over all accept rate and still unable to to hit 1 or more trips per hours.
and accept rate now up to 100% almost impossibles.

fake ad again

please take note, u must have 100% accept rate. !
and 1.5 or more trips per hours, as good as 2trips per hours.
up to screw driver again.

they should just remove perk, and reduce 20% to 5%

To put things in perspective, let's do our sums with a scenario.

Assumption:
- drive all the peak hours from Monday to Friday (10hrs/day X 5days = 50hrs total)
- 1 trip per hour
- 90% acceptance rate

Based on the above assumption:
Old Scheme guaranteed amount
: [($32 X 4hrs)+($27 X 6hrs)] X 5 days = $1450 weekly

New Scheme guaranteed amount
: (50hrs X $28)=$1400 weekly, $50 lesser than the old scheme.
Note : the scheme is ambiguous. 50hrs with 1 trip per hour could fall under either $28/hr or $32/hr guarantee. If we use $28, the guarantee amount is as per above calculation. But if we use $32/hr, then the weekly guarantee amount becomes (50hrs X $32)=$1600 weekly which is higher than the old scheme.
Need to clarify with Uber on this.

it say 100% acceptance rate now, and 1 trips per hours..
may as well say no perk given.
Whether old or new scheme, it has always been "accept all trip request" and "don't cancel any trip unless cancel by rider or no show or network outage". This is a constant. Not a variable.

Btw, from what I understood from the YouTube tutorial, Trip Per Hour (TPH) is actually Average Trip Per Hour, which means you need not literally clock in 1 trip per hour. Instead, hypocritically, if you have no rider for the first hour but got 2 riders for the second hour and 3 rider on the third hour, then average TPH is 5trips/3hrs = 1.666 trips per hour which qualify you for the higher amount.

how come i have only the 100trip $200, but he have $400 if 100trips? double system ?
Bro, I think you should go see the YouTube tutorial first before getting all worked up. It's bad for health especially during bed time lah.

The new scheme starts 17 Aug 2015 at 4am. ( in a few hours time)
You are right though, about the weekly loyalty incentives.
Under old scheme, if you make 60trips or more weekly consecutively for 3 weeks, you get $100 and if 100trips a week or more consecutively for 3 weeks, you get $200.
With the new scheme, if you make 100trips per week or more consecutively for 3 weeks, you get $400.

Basically what Uber is doing is that they studied the "bell curve"/statistics of the drivers daily driving data and realised that they are overpaying by having a fixed guarantee hourly rate ($27/$32). Hence they came up with this "accelerator" program to cut their losses for the majority of the drivers and give "some" additional benefit for the super hardworking drivers.

ree totally. The schemes are to encourage mor trips and by doing so, reduces the guarantee payout. Strictly business, no charity. But guys, how many trips usually depends on our luck too. Long trips will mean lower trips per hour.

Guys, have official confirmation that if you did not receive the email then you are not in the 50% that Uber has selected to trial the new incentive scheme. I was at Uber this morning doing some claims and was given notice that this trial run is not for everybody. Those that were notified via mail or sms are automatically opted in. As for the rest of us the previous incentive scheme applies until further notice.
