That last drag

No, not about a ping from Sidetrack.

Anyone ever refuse, rebuke, or lock the door on smokers? I can't stand it when I pull up, someone is smoking and they take one last drag on their cigarette (which they just flick on the ground) before getting in my car. If I can afford to refuse all Pool ride pings, I probably could afford to not serve these ignorami.

It drives me nuts. I am a heavy smoker who goes out of my way not to smoke in my car. Then all that work goes up in smoke as they ow the last puff out inside my car.

No because I smoke. I had a couple.guys from Norway on Friday ask about cig prices here and I told them I roll my own. They asked if I smoke in the car and I told them all the time. They said they didn't smoke and couldn't smell it at all. They even said, we don't care if u light up, so I smoked the whole way to DT. $5 tip too!

This happened last Friday. I Picked up 3 riders from Hazel Crest going to Joliet Junior College. Almost an hour trip. All 3 smelled like they were dipped in a vat of nicotine. I'm a non-smoker so to me the smell was really bad. after I dropped them off, I rode for the until the next request with all windows down and sprayed air freshener in the rear seat.

That's what I do but I'm usually not too keen with "nicey nicey" smells like cologne or perfume or air freshener. How long did you wait for more riders after JuCo? From there, you're likely to snag someone from Hollywood Casino, also likely to get dragged out to Channahon or Coal City.

Got a trip from Wilmington to Larkin Ave, Joliet with $5.09 long pickup fee, then Joliet to Joilet, then from Joliet to Naperville (XL), then a few other trips toward Chicago (no DF) and finally the last trip was from 2800 N. Halsted to Chicago ridge.

Smoking doesn't bother me much. What I can't stomach is the smell of people who have been drinking for hours. Blech. Worst BO possible. After I've been driving a night shift the smell gets stuck in my nose. The worst is when it hangs on you. I won't have had a drink for weeks but smell like a brewery some sat nights. Will have to hop in the shower at the end of a long shift just so I can sleep.

One of the worst pax I ever had was traveling with an open container and I confronted. He was very insistent that it was just a vitamin drink and I stupidly let it slide. He then proceeded to pass beer gas for the duration of the trip and still felt no shame when I opened all windows in the winter. Real neck beard slob. I could see the open beer when we pulled over and I went off on him, but he skittered away like a smelly cockroach. F my life.

Yes, especially when they reek of it. But I don't smell it on all riders, even if I see the orange glow one last time.

What I hate is when riders sneak puffs on their vape stick. Just ask first, it's almost like they're hiding a beer bottle back there.
