    Not at all my friend

    People that drive Uber Black/SUV do it essentially as a full time job because those people rent the SUV's for like $500/week.

    They Gross $1000-$2000/week with Uber

    With Lyft SUV & LUX the demand is probably 5-10% of its uber counterpart.

    =====================================

    I've been signed up with lyft lux suv for about 3 weeks.

    Gotten 2 LUX Suv rides -- around $100 combined ----- in the same time i've had about 50 Uber Black SUV rides

    =====================================

    As of right now people just don't use lyft for LUX & SUV.

    Uber's got the high end side dominated

    well thank you sir.

    Honestly If Lyft had the demand it would be better for the Biz - and would crush Uber Black/SUV's driver base and business model.

    ======================

    Lift's "Black" ill call it to save time has no TCP Requirement and anyone with a qualifying car can do it.

    Uber Black's model in LA at least is a somewhat corrupt mess.
    What i mean is that Uber's Black and SUV platforms in LA are closed off to new applicants -- meaning only current accounts can drive for those --- meaning the only way to drive Uber black/suv is to rent one and the going rate is $500-$600/week

    so to break u even u have to hit around $700 and the rest is yours but thats every week.

    Uber makes big money on the high end commissions
    the SUV Owners make a killing on the monthly rent.

    the driver's of these cars put in all the hours and collect the scrap's.

    ==============================

    So maybe Lyft can change the game up

    Hey, I do uber in London we have something similar called UberExec and UberLUX which isnt opened to new applicants. Only current drivers can do exec and lux jobs. What do you mean by renting cars etc because my brother is on lux and only he can use his account for lux jobs?

    you brother should be able to add a driver to his existing account, and rent it to someone that wants to drive, since no more new accounts are allowed. something like that

    I did a few Lyft Lux Rides in the last couple of month. Lyft Premiere as well.
    But much more UberSelect, I admit. like 3 Times as much.

    Since these companies like to follow each other I wonder if Uber will change UberBlack requirements to just the vehicle ? no livery insurance or puc permits

    SUV has been on decline here in Florida for Uber and yes it's thanks to Lyft's new SUV, they pay more, no reason to take an Uber ride over a lyft ride.
