Strike = Huge Success Thus Far!!

The strike has already been highly, highly successful. If you check a number of news feeds, they are dominated all over the country from local and national sources with talk about the strike. The negative news coverage ahead of the IPO tomorrow will definitely have an impact. A lot more passengers are aware today that their Uber/Lyft driver is being screwed by the company. A quick google news search shows great support nationwide. A message has been sent loud and clear! We have to keep the pressure on. One of our next steps needs to be the fight for 80/20 fare split. We need to make that happen in Chicago through the City Council.

Lmfao hey I’m with this strike but as you can see theirs more drivers out there still driving the only way this is going to work is if every driver stops driving period then and only then will Uber’s power will be taken away and force their hand to make the changes needed.. good luck with that shit

Success here is not determined by the number of drivers on the road. Uber/Lyft are getting absolutely hammered with negative press, and now Lyft stock is once again tanking! It's tanking is continuing due to the strike. It is about to set a new low today. Already down ANOTHER $2 to $57.32. The whole point of timing the strike today was to do it just before the IPO to hit them in the wallet. MASSIVE SUCCESS!!

You realize the entire market is trending downward, right? Or do you want to take credit for that, too?

Listen stock prices don’t mean anything!! Facebook stock crashed when they went public and now look. it doesn’t mean anything!! Nothing will change unless every driver logged out and doesn’t drive period. And that’s not going to happen. Negitive press or not uber will not budge unless you break their backs and the drivers are the back bone of Uber and Lyft.

Ask Lyft if the stock price means nothing. The price just went under $57. Success!!

If it doesn't affect you! Why would you care? How much have you lost? 0
This is the type of pressure that will FORCE labor changes to get drivers compensated fairly! It's amazing. The strike is having the desired effect, which will ideally lead to more money in your pocket, and you seem to be upset that Uber/Lyft are losing this round of the battle.

If your driving for Lyft you probably don't have any money to buy Lyft stock. You have to have 57 dollars for one share. your only making 2 dollars a ride. Do the math!!

Ok Mr Warren!!
Uber/Lyft are bad investments. 24% of ALL of Uber's rides come from 5 cities. New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Brazil and London, England. New York is no longer allowing new drivers on the road and has a minimum wage of $17.55 per hour for drivers. London recently booted Uber out of the city altogether and then let them back in. More regulation is coming! Hopefully, Chicago will be the next major city to impose regulations.

I am out of the stock market. I invest my money in cryptocurrency (bitcoin, etherum) and investments betting the outcome of who will win football, basketball and baseball games.

Lyft stock now down to $55.70. Down nearly $4 on the day. Strike is a massive success! They hear us now!

Success is measured by achieving the stated objective. The stated objective here is to get Uber to pay us more. The objective is not been reached. A true strike stays in place until the company gives in to demands.

The media attention is good and more successful than any other striker attempts thus far but there are plenty of drivers out. Opened passenger app and there’s more ants near my home than usual, opened driver app and over 150 waiting in TNP lot with no surge to even lure them there lol

@The Drive Guy makes a valid point. With more enthusiasm than I see but a valid point none the less. The press has hurt both companies and they have no choice but to take notice. It's a good 1st step. Some won't see that even if it resulted in an immediate pay raise (which it won't). This is a process and pressure has to be maintained to continue to see success.

Stock price is now under $55 at $54.85. Each dollar the stock decreases it takes multi-millions in $$$ off Lyft market capitalization. Squeal point is near. Cheaper to just pay drivers.
