seriously need help its been a week now

    hello i dont know what is going on with my account. its been a week i can go online but somehow i cannot get rider request..for example i go online 6-10 hours i get no pings i dont know what the issue is i dont think its my phone because i switch out 2 phone and it does the same issue.

    i also went to the uber greenhub and they did a demo request then it ping my phone but when i try it with my friends and mom phone at home it does not ping me...it is like intermittent sometime i get 1 random ping and have to wait few hours before getting another 1..this problem is so obvious that its not being slow or im not in a dead area..

    my area always have people requesting and i am on x/xl/select...even on the weekends i still dont get any request

    i try everything from resetting my phone network setting..reset all setting on my i phone 6 plus to deleting cache..i also remove my vehicle and readd it to see if the uber app fix it self but its been a week i still have the same issue..i still am not getting request and i cannot even ping my self using multiples phones like my mom/dad/wife/friends it does not ping my phone even when im next to it and while it shows im online.

    so if any 1 can help me with this issue please let me know i try emailing support 1000 times all they say is my account is active and looks good it just show me the usual reset network setting on my i phone app which i already did...

    so yea basically i did all these steps already but still cannot seems to fix the problem.
    airplane mode off then on..
    bluetooth off completely.
    wifi off just using LTE ATT
    resetting network
    resetting all setting and content on phone
    remove sim and put it back in
    remove sim and put it on another phone
    went to greenhub
    deleting cache in settings safari
    delete app install app
    delete uber rider app so it does not conflict
    possibly everything but problem still exist..

    p.s this problem happen last month for like 1-2 days but then it fix it self..all i did was delete and reinstall the app...but then it happen to me last week and its still happening and i try everything it seems to not fix it self yet.

    any 1 have ideas? right now it shows im online and yes im online i can see my car in my rider app but i cannot get request from people even trying to ping my self like 1000 time it does not go through even when im the only car thats available (did this at 3am i was the only car that shows on my rider app but still when i try requesting with my wife phone x/xl/select it did not even ping my uber driver app phone and yes it shows i was online and i can see my car there using my rider app)

    please any 1 have same issue or know how to fix this please let me know thankyou.

    You won't get a trip if you are missing any docs or something like an outdated insurance card will prevent pings coming to you. Did you check to make sure all your docs are in order?

    uber say all my document is in order
    i went to uber office 3 days ago they say everything is in order they successfully ping my phone and i see the request coming in but whats weird is that i ask a random guy at the uber office (a driver) to ping me uberx and it did not work. they even know and they say just go home and wait for a few days someone will call or email me to let me know if its gonna be fix..which is all lies



    but today this morning i just got an email about checkr they say they are doing background check on me again maybe this is the real reason?

    i am still having the same problem it just show that i am online but i am not receiving pings i tested this with another phone i try requesting X/XL/SELECT it does not ping my phone even when i request it right next to the car location that shows im online in the rider app.."


    p.s still did not work so i have no idea whats going on!

    Sorry to hear about the phone trouble. Let's get it resolved asap so it doesn't keep you offline too much longer.

    I have a few troubleshooting steps that resolve most device issues.

    • First, let's try logging out of the Uber app and logging back to see if that resolves the issue.
      If the app won't close, you can force quit the Uber app, double-click on the home button, then swipe up on the Uber app card that appears. You can now reload the app.
    If still no luck, let's perform a hard reset. Start by pressing down and holding the Power button (on top of the phone) and the Home button (the circular button on the front of your phone) at the same time for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.


    Your phone can take up to 60 seconds to reset. Once it has reset, your issue should be resolved.

    • If you continue to experience issues, we may have to try to reset your network settings. (Please note that this will delete any saved preferences or passwords you have.)
      To do this, go to: Settings, then General, then Reset, then Reset Network Settings.

    i phone 6 plus i also test with iphone 5 and another iphone it still the same issue even removing my sim card putting it in another iphone still same issue can go online but cant request myself when i try pining myself with another uber rider app phone

    Iphones are a much bigger headache for the Uber App. I've had both, and no problems with the Android. You might want to invest in a Samsung Galaxy and Android.

    i guess i gotta find an android phone and retest this then..but like i say i test with a few diffrent iphones so i guess its uber that is the problem not iphones

    lol i just try to ping myself to see if its working got it to ping my car finally!!

    but then try it again it goes to someone else now its not going to me at all...wtf lolzzzzzzz feel like this uber app is trolling me hard..its been a week im desperate to drive to make $ for rent..hope it will fix itself anytime now.

    Read some of it but not all of of it, but here is my questions/suggestions.

    Do you have two devices? I've had it once where I was watching the rider app on my phone and could see my car go offline for 30 seconds then come back on screen like I was getting a ping when in reality the app on my iPad didn't receive a ping. To resolve the issue I had to un-install the driver app 4 times in the course of one day and re-install it in order for me to get any work.

    I would un-install the app turn the phone off, turn the phone back on check for any updates for the iOS and any other apps and then try re-installing the app. Sometimes in some area's having your WiFi on can effect the GPS maybe it or some other app running at the same time is interfering with the driver app?

    so what does it mean investigating my individual safty screening report? WTF?

    shouldn't they say they will be fixing my account and why its not being able to receive pings? now it sound like i did something wrong can any 1 translate that email?
