All of the various taxi and limo services in NJ have used the Dodge Grand Caravan as their staple vehicle over the years because they are dirt cheap.

Here is a new 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan for $15k:

It will cost $2000 to get the LIFETIME warranty.

So for 17k you get a new van where if anything goes wrong you just drive it into the dealer to fix and we all know this van's trans will probably fail around 100k. Its a Dodge...if you do take it in for warranty work dont tell them its an Uber;)

You can get the same deal on TrueCar for 18k or you might be able to haggle the local dealer down to 15k.

Lets say Uber fails...thats still an incredible deal on a van where when (not if) it gives you trouble just drop it off at the dealership service department. A nice little hauler to haul around your kids or other crap...

I saw a 2010 Honda Odessy with OL plates today.

Is it possible to get one cheap, get OL plates and do pickups in EWR with no problems?

    How much would that cost?

  4. OL plates are notoriously hard to get on your own. You can put OL plates on anything, it's a question of GETTING them that's the problem
