Nothing wrong with this power zones, at least you know what you get. Ignore them a bit and they raise your personal power zone. There are no more unicorns left once lyft kills prime time. Adios 200-300%, welcome guaranteed 25%.

I’ll take a set multiple with an unknown distance all day vs a known add on with an unknown distance all day long. Knowing the time of the ride on Uber helps when they have a surge as you at least have an idea of what you are accepting. With lyft you have no clue unless it’s over 45 minutes

Lyft’s had a way to differentiate itself with drivers by keeping the multiple

Lyft dropped me for too many cancellations over a year ago and now I get a notice about Personal Power Zones. I'm not even going to check to see if I've been reinstated. They told me that I WAS PERMANENTLY BANNED. It never would have happened in the first place if Lyft provided actual street addresses on every pickup. I've been driving Uber exclusively with tears in my eyes ever since. We'll see whether I'm driving at all after July 31.

This is legalized theft by Lyft. At least Uber, sleazy as they are, will share some Surge on longer trips if it fits their parameters.

I have an app that shows PT.

For those that haven't had the fun of PPZ, the yellow/orange is 'High Demand Areas' but it's base.

Lyft will charge riders PT in areas:

But pay drivers nothing but base:

Occasionally they throw a few pennies our way:

But still charge riders PT

It's really frustrating seeing riders charged this:

And they offer drivers this if we're lucky :

You want to send a big message to Lyft? Leave your app on and let every ping time out. It takes 15 seconds for a ping to expire, plus the time to redistribute it to another driver.

If 4 drivers do that, it's over a minute. To the ADHD millenial snowflakes like Becca trying to get to her SoulCycle class that's an eternity.

Seriously at this point I want to @@@@ Lyft over as much as possible. If even one driver does this I consider that a success.

I thought Uber would go bankrupt before Lyft. And that Lyft could survive by just not being reta___rr_ed.

I was wrong. Long live Uber

It's called "Lyft needs to begin turning a profit". Driver pay will continue to come down, and passenger fares will continue to increase. Once Lyft gets to where they want to be, drivers will no longer want to drive and passenger won't want to pay the fares.

We have to wake up and organize! Driver's in New York are getting this same bull from Uber/Lyft ..... However, they have one huge difference right now and that is that they are Guaranteed to make $17.55 per hour After expenses! If your app is on, you are making money! No more take whatever scraps Uber/Lyft decide to offer on any given day. No new drivers are currently being accepted in New York by Uber or Lyft. Can you imagine a world in Chicago with no new drivers coming on board???? The City Council in New York made that happen. We need to make it happen in Chicago!! Many on here are always ripping into AOC and Bernie Sanders. Take a good look at the new city council in Chicago. A bunch of progressives and socialists knocked off machine candidates including Deb Mell, who was beaten by a socialist and Rahm's right hand man, also defeated by a socialist. These are the people who will make this happen for us in Chicago. Wake up. Organize. and for the Chicago market .... Go Hard after the Chicago City Council!!!

When people say guaranteed income I think 400 cars in the with both apps on. The log off when it’s almost their turn long enough to move to the back of the line. Maybe they give a few rides but try to keep it to a minimum. Done in half a day with 10 hours of guaranteed money.
