A number of Toronto Drivers have been deactivated due to some sort of LYFT software glitch. These are the founding drivers as LYFT expanded into their first international market, the ones that lasted a year and are very much the more high rated and enthusiastic drivers to be in the 4% of rideshare drivers who last longer than a year.

There have been communication issues at the Toronto Hub and Ops office, and I am trying to get the brass to take notice. Any retweets will help, if you use Twitter.

Feel free to retweet this: https://twitter.com/triflic/status/1075206775635349504

There are also tweets aimed at Logan Green and the @AskLyft account on my profile.

Since you get no help locally, maybe try the corporate office in San Francisco.
Dealing with these new companies is frustrating

CERTIFIED LETTER

RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED

Always in writing and certified

You’d be surprised at how they get attention.

And in the letter always include “time is of the essence”

And what came of all of this?
Nothing. Alas. The local office is very slowly bringing people back online, and did issue some specific (non-financial) apologies. But otherwise the local top/original Toronto Lyft drivers were more or less left in the dark and out in the cold for most of Nov-Dec 2018.

Rideshare/Gig economy is exceptionally PRECARIOUS. Uber on.
