PCO Licence Application completed

Posted my PCO Application last Wednesday 15th August 2018.

Visited the Uber Office Monday 20th to attend the Uber Ignition but I didn't need to be there as I already completed my PCO Application. Got a free A-Z and was offered lessons for the Topographical Test.
"I got 19 years experience as a PHV Driver I don't need lessons"
Uber is £50 instead of £75 for the Topo Test.
My last PCO Licence expired 2011 but I'm hoping I don't have to do the Topo Test but I guess all will have to do it at some stage.

6 to 12 weeks before getting my PCO Badge I guess, hoping as a previous PCO Badge holder it will be sooner rather than later.

I will be renting and like the look of the Kia Niro over the Toyota Prius, going to Test drive both before choosing which to use.

I'm also going to be Blogging and Vlogging my Uber journey on YouTube lol

You must have a low self esteem after 19 years as phv and you’ve reverted to driving for Uber.
Do you live in the real world?

Let us know if after your first month, you’re clearing 30%, 40% or 50% less than you were in the mid 2000’s

Check out tarter12’s long thread about his Uber journey, don’t think he made it much past the first month before his dreams got shattered

Or if you’re the latest offering from the Towers just go and put the kettle on

Yes, I think it will be fun and informative. I'll be showing Earnings and Expenses, keeping it real.

Nigel Farage lover and pooper
I think Nigel Farage would make a good London Mayor but sadly I don't think he would run.
Brexit means Leave and he is going on the road to keep the Government to account.

Do you live in the real world?
Yes, I live in London, the best City in the World. Born in Lambeth :smiles:

Sure I will be showing Earnings and Expenses as a Full Time Driver keeping it real.
When I say Full Time that is not 40hrs a week. Private Hire Driver has always been a 60hr week job.
Depends on your wants and needs to support yourself.

“ All day breakfast”
Full English, lovely. 8 out of 10 for that one.

London uber Geezer LOL
Are you a Taxi Driver?
If you are, do you listen to Cab Chat Radio?
If yes to the above you would know the "in joke" of that clip on my YouTube.

Waiting for the obvious reply
Other streams of income lol
No just Driving and if I get enough subs on Youtube maybe I'll make an extra £1 lol
Its all about the Driving mate.

how much do you expect to earn per day? do you have a target?

how many hours you planning to work to earn it?

Good luck by the way
"how much do you expect to earn per day?"
Not been a Private Hire Driver since 2011 so I'm just going to see what is achievable rather than listening to hearsay.
I will be showing my Daily, Weekly and Monthly earnings. Got to keep it real, Good or Bad.

"how many hours you planning to work to earn it?"
Full Time, min 60hrs per week. ~
I'm interested to see how the 10hr limit works. Never had that when I was Driving.

"Good luck by the way"
Cheers Mate

Follow my journey.............

Since when did Uber become a Topo Test centre again?

Most of the old Topo Centres no longer do them, including Addison Lee.

How did you manage to post your application without having done the Topo Test?

Uber Rep told me they do it at the Uber Greenlight Hub costing £50.
I didn't do an Online PCO Application, I posted and states you must wait for TFL Letter before taking the Topo Test.
The letter then states the Topo Locations to take the Test.
I'll check when that letter comes if Uber is on the list.

Says it all there right in the message......

Got to “keep it real”

Called TFL today, they received my Application 16th August.
Topographical Team are looking at my app as I may be exempt from the Test as I originally had Grandfather Rights on my first PCO License.
But awaiting confirmation of that.

Just a waiting game, I'll update this thread with my PCO app progress.
