They are too freaking stupid to get in the right car, but it's your fault?
Exactly! They live in Rancho Santa Fe and think they own your ass. Very arrogant, stupid people. I even had the correct riders (who they know) on the phone. That didn't even matter to them.

From now on, I'm more than happy to pick up poor people in Chula Vista on pools, and will accept then cancel everyone in RSF.

RSF has never really worked out for me on nights, too many limousines.
Not much day traffic either.
Not "one of my spots" for sure.

I know. I only ended up there after a long ride from CBX to 4S Ranch, and it was a ride back to downtown.

After I finally got rid of the stupid pax, the correct pax were so nice to me. They waited a long time to let me come back to pick them up. I ended up making $40 on a $30 trip. Then went home and had shots of tequila.

Received another one star. My fault. I knew to cancel and I didn’t because I was just trying to get closer to home. Always trust your instincts to cancel!

on my way to pick up. I get a message from someone saying it’s their dad I’m picking up. She said he is sick and can hardly walk so to go to the closest entrance of the building. I wrote back that maybe a medical transport would be better if he was sick and couldn’t walk. I’m not a medical transport! She writes back that he is only going to dialysis and should be fine. At this moment I should have cancelled but I felt a little compassion for someone who had to go through this all the time.

I picked him up. A nice older man. No problems. This morning I see a one star for pick up quality and service quality. It had to be them. She was mad that I suggested that I am not a medical transport. Instead of tipping me for going way above and beyond I was penalized with a one star. I’m falling fast. 4.91 now with 8 one star ratings. All false accusations and mostly recent. On top of this insult. I got paid $6 for this ride and uber got paid $7. I’m getting near my breaking point of quitting for good.
4.91! Nice ...that means you have alot of wiggle room. I think a 4.6 will get you deactivated so don’t worry you would need probably 40 one stars to even get close.

Your sarcastic response to client to get a Medical Transport Van got you the 1*. If you think about it, that person only wanted their Uber to pick up this man but you escalated it and then you are offended by a low rating. Either cancel or take the trip and bite your tounge. Not every trip request is to be taken, use your senses to tell you if this is a trouble ride or not!

I think it was pretty clear in my post that the one star was because of my comment. I should have cancelled. It wasn’t a sarcastic response, it was of concern. If someone writes that the person is very sick and can’t walk then maybe you shouldn’t be calling an Uber. When she said it was for dialysis I had a moment of compassion and decided to pick him up. I just thought I would share this experience that all of us go through. Of course I knew it was a possible bad ride but I always expect the best from people. My intention was good. I got a one star. This happens.

Anyone ever get down rated and the feedback says it’s a driving complaint? This has only happened a couple times to me in over three years and it’s never been because of my driving. It’s been because I have to brake or swerve from someone else driving bad in front or around me. Most pax have their eyes looking down at their phone. They are not aware at all of the driving situation. I took a pool today ( honestly this is the last one I accept) a younger girl going to work at Sea World. Driving down the 8 when the car in front of me slowed to about 30 miles an hour with his blinker on. Then he sped back up and then slowed down again. I never tail gate so it wasn’t that hard of a brake, but I had to brake and change lanes to get away from him. It probably startled her but it wasn’t because of my bad driving! It was necessary defensive driving.

The girl in the back seat was on her phone with headphones on. Sure enough she gave me 3 stars and reported my driving. Do these reports mean anything if your rating is still high? Everyday this job is bumming me out more. I don’t want to get upset, but this rating system and the ungrateful pax are wearing me down. I’m still at a 4.91 but this seems to be much harder these days to bring it back up before it falls some more.

While I’m on the subject of highway safety I’ll tell this crazy story. I picked up a passenger last week and he was going to pick up his car. He said he was in an accident on hwy 8 the day before. He was a very nice guy and told me the entire story. It was around 6 pm and a guy who had been walking along the freeway decided to jump out in front of his car. He didn’t see anything. It was just instant. He killed the guy driving 70 mph! He wasn’t injured, but he was very distraught over it. He said he had lots of support in his life so he was ok. What a crazy story! Be careful out there! Sometimes you don’t have a choice but to brake hard or to swerve. It just bothers me that if you do, the pax will down rate you.

I just got a new 1 star for navigation. Must have been that stripper last week making up some BS. I have not had navigation issues in 3 months. My rating is still 4.96. BS 1 stars don’t mean anything

If you keep getting them it gets annoying! The problem is most people are not rating anymore. Only the pax that want to down rate you for whatever bizarre reason. Non rated rides should automatically be a 5.

Not exactly true. I still get 490 trips out of 500 with 5 stars. Just watch where and when you drive

I got a 2 star the other day when I pull up to a 7 Eleven store and the only possible Uber passenger has buds in her ear and texting. I sit there for a minute, roll down my window and shout are you my passenger. Finally gets her attention she takes out one of her earbuds and ask what? I say are you the fricking dumb wore that needs a ride? She says yes all embarrassed and then at the end of the ride after the stop a minute goes by and she is still sitting in my car. I say "you dumb azz you're wasting my time get out of my car"! I then asked her politely that Transportador and I are in competition if she could only give me a 2 star for this ride (you know to keep my rating high). Ta Da...got my 2 star!

Oh yeah? But do you have a rating for each category? I do.

I got my first one star in quite a while last night. Picked up a couple at a wedding last night at Liberty Station. Destination was Humphrey's on Shelter Island. While driving down Rosecrans, I hear the man say to his lady "man, Mexican food sounds good right now. There's a Tony's drive thru along the way..." My eyes rolled so hard they almost fell out of my head. "Hey bro, would you mind taking a quick right turn into that Tony's drive thru?" I tell them that due to past incidents with pax making total messes in my car with food, that I couldn't do it. I said it in the most diplomatic, easygoing way possible. The lady told him "It's ok, we can do Door Dash once we get to the hotel." 5 stars for her, unfortunately she's not the account holder. Sure enough, I got a 1 star for not being a pushover in my own damn car. Oh well, it only dropped me down to a 4.97.

but somehow I went from only having 6 four star ratings to 8 four star ratings. How would this happen when all my riders gave me tips mostly on the app and two with cash?
