No Respect At All

When app developers update their apps, they usually provide a wealth of information on new features and bug fixes...

...but not Uber. They don’t even respect us enough to even tell us what modifications they’ve made to the driver app that we have to put on our own phones and use when working for them. Even Rodney Dangerfield would be shocked at this level of disrespect.

Whatever you say...Travis. Or is this Dara?
It's not a consumer facing app. They are under no obligation to release the proprietary information. Has nothing to do with respect, or lack thereof. Most of the updates are made server side anyways. The Driver App is just a shell.

If the updates were only on the back end there’d be no need to touch the app. Private or not, it still shows how they have no respect for us drivers.

Even though it is not in my financial interest to say this: If this company doesn’t go bankrupt in 2 years or less, there is truly no justice in this world.

A server-side change is just that; when the front-end is changed, the front-end has changed. And a forced download is a front-end change. It would be polite at least for Uber to say "bug fixes", lazily like Netflix does :smiles:

Is nextflix "bug fix" better than uber thanking you and stating that they are improving the app? Isn't that saying the same thing, if not more?
