New cleaning reports

Have you seen the new request cleaning fee breakdown?

So Basically if someone throws up in a vent then you make enough to cover the cost of an interior cleaning from a car cleaning service. But if someone spills alcohol or any drink in the middle of the seat causing you to go offline for hours waiting for it to dry you get 20$ unreal could they nickel and dime us anymore. Also if passengers treat your car like a dumpster and just leave garbage you get nothing.

Had a couple of situations over the past few days,
One was paid based on my Offline Time, (And night's average $ for Online time).
Awaiting 2 more to be resolved...

In the end the cleaning fee has been abused by drivers hand over fist. Legitimate claims are suffering because of it.

Also consider yourself luck as cab drivers would be lucky if they get the $25 for any type of mess.

Many drivers have chosen to clean it themselves and not doing a proper job of it. Taking a risk of dealing with biohazard waste and putting passengers at risk as well.

Would love to see Uber do away with the cleaning fee and have a deal with a shop that deals with these things professionally. Open 24 hours. Place a claim and drive it in. Then have the shop determine the fee for cleaning and they get paid. Then Uber can just deal with your down time.

Would love this type of situation. Ensures no bio-hazard issues...

Yeah, but location would be a big thing. What about drivers in the burbs?

Oakville to Toronto for cleaning would be most inconvenient and a lot of kms

Agree. I would say it would need to be locations where you sign up for Uber. and Uber employees would be the ones cleaning the mess. :smiles:
