More Pool Shenanigans

Last night I accidentally accepted a Pool trip in the city. A few seconds later it added a second rider to the trip. Ok, whatever, I'll do it.

Arrived at first pickup location and wait. A group of lads approach, wave hand and say "Sorry boys, this isn't the Uber you're looking for". Continue waiting and mark the rider a no-show at the 2 minute mark. Move off to pick up the next rider.

Almost immediately a new rider is added, and it's the same person who was a no-show. U-turn, go back and wait. At the 90 second mark a young guy gets in, despite the female name on my phone. "Uh, what name was this under?"

"<name>, it's my girlfriend". Ok, that's all good.

"They're waiting just around the corner, you have to go pick them up".

"No mate, this is Pool, you have to come to me"

"But every other Uber will come pick us up where WE are"

"Congratulations, this is Pool, it doesn't work that way. They've got 10 seconds to get in the car or you can f--- off".

He decides to f--- off.

Pick up second rider, lovely girl, first time using Pool. She didn't understand exactly how it all worked but wanted to try it and see.

Third rider added soon after. Another young girl, her app was telling her to wait in a slightly different location to where I was directed to. Didn't matter, she saw me waiting and came over - "Better I come to you than you having to turn around" (instant 5 stars).

Two girls are instant BFF's, discussing recent holidays. Drop them off and despite the second half of the trip being quite pleasant, vow to never do another Pool trip again, especially not at 1am Saturday morning.

Upside is I did get 2 cancellation fees for the no-shows.

I've had a pool job accidentally a couple of days ago. Missed the word "pool" on the ping screen.

It was a short trip with only one rider and a nasty Upfront fare $1.80 shortchange at the end.

I've sent Uber an email with a request to opt me out of UberPool since the option is disabled in settings. Cant wait to read their response.

All drivers should do the same.

Love it and live it.But Mr Baennie babee is a millionaire...I'm the opposite I'm the Numero Uno loser here.

All trades and trolling of my threads here aside.Reality check .Am I really making a profit or turnover? Those who know how to Ripp "The System "will answer honestly and content . My response to this... Turnover yes...a little profit yes......Just head above water. Is this so cool? Lol

Here’s the response. If opting out was an option, uber will have to dump Pool all together. No one will do it.
