Lyft "Rewards"

Now I have an email about Lyft Rewards coming to select cities. In other words...

We are going to get you 3-5% in "rewards" and hope that you forget we already sodomized you for 33% on your mileage rate.

There is not eye-roll emoji big enough for these clowns...

No need to worry...the IRS came just admitted they don't audit the rich because it's too hard, so they just go after low income people.

Yep. They cant stand it when small business operators get the tax breaks intended for their campaign financiers. So, whatever it takes to make life harder for the little guy. Its sad when people think that these jerks care about them.

Serious question here:
Setting up all these discounts and subsidizing corporate partners of U/L costs money.
Running the software and hardware to administer the "points" system costs money.
Paying humans to try to sell the points system to drivers costs money.

Would it really cost that much more to just take that money & give it to the drivers??

Stop it with serious and logical questions! Lyft has a business to run and the man behind the curtain must not be disturbed!

I think it's U/L way of 'controlling' drivers while avoiding the whole employee/employer legalities.
U/L just spent 30 million each fighting employee status in CA...so whats a few more bucks here and there to keep the drivers down.

I just ignore all the points, blue, gold, rainbow color, double-diamond-platinum-plus levels etc. and just drive.
Just don't see jumping thru their hoops as worth it.
