Lyft has to ruin my week

Since the new Lyft system has been put into place I have not received ANY bonus challenges, prime time offers, or promotions other than the one or two times weeks ago that were sh!tty 5-ride streak bonus offers within one random specific hour window.

But somehow I have just "earned" my Lyft Amp a couple days ago when I haven't had any completed Lyft rides since the end of May (I have had a couple ride requests I accepted ghost me and disappear from my app like they never existed after accepting them and starting to head to the pick up). Lol 😄

I also got the email to get an Amp. I just reactivated my account a month ago and don’t have anywhere near what I thought were the requirements to get it.

Not sure I’m going to use it. I hear they can sell well.

I do not have the amp, nor do I want it. Although I am curious if your ride request increase or quality of rides improves by using it.

I got a pop up in the app about the light thing. Which is funny cause right before they sent me another message about accepting requests and my rate not being very good.

I'm sorry if I dont wanna drive 20 mins to a pickup lyft. I made 25 bux on that platform last week. So dumb.

This is depressing. Ashamed to even post the picture. Determined to complete this challenge. I am hoping at some point my numbers start trending upwards.

How the eff do rental drivers deal with this when they are being paid even less?

Nothing to be ashamed of dude. After three years of this, I’ve seen this market get flooded with college kids in summer. Now that Davis finished this week, it gets worse. I recently drove a Sac driver to the bus as he fair drove in the Bay all weekend. He said it was the only way he could rationalize renting. This market doesn’t have the demand for making a rental profitable. Nor an XL. Not when only 15-20% of your rides get that rate. That was me.

I drive a plug in hybrid and get the EV incentive for 20 trips each week. That’s all I do as without the incentive it’s a joke.
Post automatically merged:

And it’s been a month since any incentives beyond my standing EV ones. No consecutive trips on Uber, no PPB or any weekly challenge on Lyft.

I rent and drive in sf to be able to get the ride # bonuses to pay for the rental with lyft/hertz; I was not able to get ride # bonus in sacto unless I drove 6 days/wk. But when Lyft lowered the rate and bonus to try to get you to drive 6 days for free rental, I switched to uber/fair. Now I drive 3 days/wk and make what I made with Lyft driving 4 days/wk. Lower rental cost, lower #rides required for bonuses, slightly higher pay/mile. In sacto lyft I averaged 1-2 rides/hr, sf Lyft 3-4 rides/hr, sf uber 3 rides/hr

Sounds about right. Hopefully your saving 25% for taxes. With a rental there is no mileage deduction.

I made it to 55 rides last week. 36 hours. Thunder valley helped out a lot. Between Texas hold ‘em and craps I saved my week. About to start and try again this week for the 99 ride bonus.

Stones came in big a week ago. Walked in won $500 in freeplay turned it into just over a thousand. Spending it all on roadtrip in anaheim/san diego/ la right now.

Lol I haven't been in sacto for about 20 yrs before doing rideshare and I get this ride taking me off the freeway to a single desolate road....to thunder valley. Didn't expect to roll up to a highrise hotel in the middle of nowhere with a full parking lot and people coming in and out. Picked up this old asian pas who looked like she was up all night or more and didn't seem like she did too well.

Good old thunder valley. The biggest ashtray in Northern California. One second of exposure to the casino and you stink like nobody’s business.
