Lyft '$100 million in tips and counting' commercial

Was just watching Spike (Amercan channel) and the Lyft commercial came on. It has the Uber executives in a boardroom looking at footage of Lyft drivers and the drivers are smiling and real happy. One exec asks why they are so happy and another replies "it's coz Lyft passengers are allowed to tip their drivers in the app and Lyft drivers got $100 million on tips..."
I pray this shows 24/7 on every channel. Half of our passengers are too cheap to tip but the other half are actually oblivious of the need to tip. It is a damn shame that Uber won't give us this.

Being that uber is 8x the size of lyft, you could say that uber owes drivers $800 million.
But they would rather spend $100+million on lawyers battling against the tip option.
