Hello everyone I’m new and I know they won’t send you LAX pickup Notifications unless you pass that test , but will they send you LAX drop offs?
Also what type of insurance do the drives here in Los Angeles have, I see in other states you have to have a business license and a special insurance??

1) take the LAX test and then go to the hub in Redondo beach and get the placard ASAP.
You can NOT drop off at LAX without the placard, but you WILL get rides to LAX - if you do, you have to drop them "someplace with a shuttle" which is support's instructions to you. Lame, if you have an LAX ride, tell the pax to cancel because you can't go there.
And pickup pings only happen when you are in the queue OR get a rematch because you are dropping off and are in LAX terminals.
Just get the placard ASAP and don't do LAX until you do.
2) State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, and Mercury all have rideshare add ons, and are friendly to rideshare drivers.
State Farm is the most expensive, but also the most professional and easiest to deal with claims.
And you WILL have claims driving for rideshare. GET THE RIDESHARE ADD ON
The only problem is pool ride ,which you don't know 2nd or 3rd passengers destinations ,uber normally does that ,whatever you hate uber throw it on you in sneaky way ,then after dropping first pax ,start 2nd trip.,bam lax ,you can't tell pax get out og your car and you need to deal with it .i used to tell them seat in front ,take my uber sign and pretend dropping off friend but i don't recommend this . Just go hub and get your placard and do it asap.
James river only covers you while you are online (logged into app). Whenever you go offline, only your personal insurance applies.
State Farm rideshare coverage extends your deductible for ALL driving periods. This is a HUGE benefit if driving for Lyft, as lyft has a $2500 deductible.
In otherwords, if you have a $750 deductible with State Farm, while driving for Lyft and Uber you will continue to have that same deductible.
While it may be true that the at fault driver will eventually pay the deductible, if they dispute it AT ALL, you have to cover deductible up front until arbitration concludes which is weeks or months.
If you want to be driving again quickly you'll need to pony up the deductible.
Then you're lucky the at fault driver didn't dispute. What I am saying is, if the at fault driver disputes, you have to pay the deductible UP FRONT until fault is settled/determined.
Saw him drop off, then he pulled into E for a rematch or hoping for a rematch.
I was wating for my paxhole that was downstairs. Two cops walked up, and this Nissan driver sped away ... COPs took a pic of his back end.
I'm standing trunk open and one COP came over just as my paxhole came huffing and puffing up. COP left me alone, and both were looking at the other COP's phone.

I flew into LAX last night and had about a 30 minute wait waiting for my parking shuttle van. At least HALF of the Uber/Lyft cars I saw had no airport placard displayed in the front windshield. Dozens of them.
Hey Ureventplanner was trying to set up an event in December called "human gas contest" need a dj host and event space that wouldn't mind something a little different than usual (stinky I know) I Figur I'll have Taco Bell cater it let me know if it's sOme thing you would be interested in
yea, some just happy to get out of that hellhole with money for a gallon of gas ... uber not paying the $10 LAX minimum on rematches
its unreal to me the patience you LAX surgers have to wait in that cesspool pigpen ... last year it felt like a fraternity hang out over there then pool started at LAX... and now its a nasty stankpit
You don't have to be in the pig pen. Plenty of other places in the que.
