anybody drove last night ?? once the rain started and the flood warning alerted all the smartphones the surge kicked in (2.9) amazingly good night for a weekday !!

Yeah, it was pretty nice, but the app keeps bugging on me, so I take Lyft requests that end up being outside of their pathetically small surge areas. I did a little 8-9am as I was downtown, now that was some nice surge - got two 3.6s in a row. Short trips but I'll take $15 for a mile any day.

Just remember to go offline JUST AS IT STARTS RAINING. Invariably once it starts pouring you get the really good surge rates. You don't want to be the sucker who accepts a request that would have been a 2x surge 2 mins later!
