I live in Henderson and would really like to do most of my business there, but every night I end up on the strip. Pick up PAX in Henderson - they want to go to Fremont. Pick up PAX at Fremont - they want to go to the strip. I can't justify driving back to Henderson empty, so....
Has anyone had a similar experience?

Oh yes. That's where the business is. I start every day on the outskirts and be it my first or 3rd ride I always end up on the strip. I'm a lot more comfortable on the strip now and you will be too. Take a few hours some slow weekday am and just cruise the casinos to learn the pick up and drop off locations. There is a link in the first thread on the Vegas forum with info on pick up and drop off for all the properties. Indeed I would not recommend driving back anywhere empty...waste of time and gas. Let the flow of the rides take you where they will take you. Good luck!

yeah the volume is there but they're almost all less than $5 rides and sometimes take longer than I'd like for pickups with the traffic and u-turns and stuff.

Keep track of surge patterns......ill hippity skip the strip all day in a surge and burn little to no gas. Weekends and nights are generally good for surge.

I had a $25 fare from Cosmo to Aliante and drove all the way back to the strip empty.. Even stopped for a bite to eat, left the app on no rides.. 30 miles..

Stop doing no surge X. It's really not worth it unless uber has some type of bonus or incentive offered to you. I did X to quickly complete the requirements for the gas card and I was actually upset with the net fare each time. Got half my NET earnings through the app in tips... that's not right imo

Every day.. I live in the SouthWest and I always start from home. I always end up at the strip. Today, luckily, I has someone go from Mountain's Edge out to Tivoli Village. Then I picked up someone right by Tivoli Village and took him to the airport. So two good long trips. Then an Airport pick up while I was there, and straight to the strip. Trapped! lol
