Is uber safe for a woman?

Yeah, safe.
You need to get a medical done.
You need a car no older than 2008.
You need Comprehensive insurance that also covers Ride Share usage. Not many do.
You need to get a criminal check done.
You need to apply for a DA licence.
You need to get an ABN.
You need to register for GST.
You need to complete a BAS quarterly.
You need a good, thick book and some comfort food.

Sleazebag male riders that you encounter will be more or less the same as sleazebag males you come across in everyday life.

I say go for it. Give it a try, if you aren'y comfortable, then call it quits. Uber doesnt tell drivers how much or how little to work. And it costs bugger all to get started (unless you need to upgrade your insurance) Initial costs incurred are picked up by Uber, and they deduct it from your first payday.

You need to get a medical done.
Wow, really? Why?

This was not a requirement in NSW last year when I started Uber driving. Lucky, as I would have failed the drug test for sure !

Something sound suspicious about this.
"Bend over and cough" seems like an Uber staff member is violating naive new drivers for a bit of a laugh.
It's OK Bandy. We've all been there before.
Right ? Guys?
I'm actually wondering about the OP:

Looking to uber to work school hours and on weekends.
Any females out there ? Do you feel safe ?
Looking to uber to work school hours and on weekends ~ yeah....I bet.

Is this a female or in fact, a male indulging in predatory behavior? Any females out there? hello, hello, hello
Do you feel safe? .........So, in other words......come to daddy.
Am I being a bit harsh? Am I being too cynical? Or, is Smudgie glass exactly like the window is going to appear after this fellow gets his jollies off??

We really can't be too careful, folks.
