In surge area but no surge for rides

I was downtown this morning and looks like a large portion of Nashville is surging. Had 4 rides in a row pop up with pickup location within surge. I was also inside the surge area. The request did not indicate a surge. Called Uber. They weren’t very helpful. Anyone know what was happening?

When you get a trip request make sure there’s a surge dollar amount shown in the request. Screenshot everything too (map when you’re online, actual trip request before accepting). It’s your best defense.

Here are some examples from Saturday night. Notice how much time elapsed in a 3 minute period. You can see there is a disconnect between surge and fare quoted to the rider.
