Dont Accept Pool Request.
its Your Car, Your The Driver and Pool is a Loss.
No. Accept a pool, but then hit stop new requests after 1st pax. Keep ratings up
Moron. This is just enabling these pax to take an x ride for pool fare, thus giving them EXACTLY what they want... ugh. The stupidity I read on this forem is mind numbing
There is an alternative view on this. If you turn off new requests, you guarantee that Uber will lose money on the ride. That will do more to kill Stool than anything else.
Acceptance rate doesn't matter. Don't accept pool. Period.
Hahahahahaaaaaa. Good luck w that
Operating at a loss is nothing new to Uber
Wrong. Accept and then park down the street until they time out and cancel them. You're providing a positive experience which only reinforces the behavior. Making Pool painful for the rider is far more effective. Let them complain about cancellation charges, getting dumped and being late. If they want to use Pool to save a few pennies, make them sorry.
uber can operate at a loss all it wants to. However, I am not.
Not picking up other passengers may make Uber lose money, but it gives them exactly what they want, an X ride for Pool price. Pool passengers are worse than X passengers.
I say just never accept pool request, teach the pax that they are likely to never get a ride when using it. However, I like FL_Dex's answer also!
uber doesnt pay us we pay uber. Always have to remind people of this.
The pax pays Uber and Uber pays us actually...
Poo actually works with high surges and obviously when chasing a bonus.
What's a pool?
I had a pax tonight tell me that when drivers do exactly that, drive down the road and wait, he does nothing. He waits it out and eventually the driver cancels. He said the only time he cancels is if he is in a hurry and needs an uber quickly. He said drivers should learn that they can't do that to him.
uber handles the transaction from pax to us then we pay a portion to uber for the privilege of using them. When you pay a bill with a check the bank is paying that bill in the direct sense but its your money. Don't be dense.
Except that pax are charged completely differently than how we're paid. Shangsta's right, it's two separate transactions. Not to mention we don't even get paid until Uber issues us a lump sum deposit (Unless you're playing roulette with their instant pay shenanigans).
Anyway, back on topic **** pool! Don't even accept those pings. Uber and pax both need to see that we're not going to deal with that nonsense. Accepting than canceling or playing games doesn't send a clear message. The pax (and Uber) have no way of knowing why you're doing that. If a pax can't get a ride on pool but gets one immediately after switching to X then they're getting educated.
