Sorry, no.

I get that you dont like U/L. But until they're running illegal gambling operations, prostitution rings, and smuggling illegal substances, you won't get any sympathy from me.

Or demanding "protection money" to keep your business open.

You don't like the deal with Uber or Lyft? Stop driving for them. It's that simple.

sorry illegal terms in contracts arent binding

everytime they send one that doesn't go 10+ miles that a 3rd grader can verify wouldn't cover costs theyre un breach of that contract

the stealing from drivers via interstate wires is rico or you think they dont do that on purpose knowing since you dont speak tag a log after 20 emails or houra in the phone to get $2 or less back isnt worth it?

have you ever worked 3rd shit uber if not going to get drunk or already drunk its prostitutes & drug dealers using uber mules because duh

the entire app is gambling its a scratch off ticket or slot machine that targets cocaine pleasure centers of idiots brains where 1 out of 10 pings is a winner the other 9 are whammies or enough for another gallon of gas to buy another ticket i mean accept another ping

no "adult" would knowingly choose to deliver a taco up to 500 pounds 3-10 miles for $2-4 gross lmao that's a verified 1971 minimum cab fare you can't be serious

everyone at uber Lyft belongs in a prison cell its 100% organized crime or do all legit buisness pay literally billions in fines & lawsuits without every making a penny in profit? lots of legit companies getting banned everywhere & lawsuits up the kazoo

theyre skimming like an old vegas casino & the vast majority of it is from human trafficking seniors, immigrants, & desperate idiots none which deserve to be exploited..

It’s actually hourly for the hours on a trip. I highly doubt that they’ll pay you by the hour just for having your app turned on.

Think about it. They only pay you when you’re on a trip. They don’t pay the dead miles.

So if you have your app on for 10 hrs but only drove collectively for six, guess what they’re going to pay you? Times 6. Whatever the minimum hourly is.

Unless it states otherwise?
Thats NYC, where they arent considered employees just a mandate by the city requires a minimum earnings. In California, their law makes the drivers actual employees so anyone online is work hours. It'll need a whole new level to work, will be interesting to see

And in your opinion, what terms of the contract are illegal?
the part where it pays me 0 for labor on all rides not going 10+ miles on xl only

you CANNOT agree to work for free periodt 13th amendment

the part where it lies to me about how far pick up is, the part where it tries to hide all the details thinking im stupid enough to complete a ride that wont cover my costs

4-4=0 is free lol

I would never in my life knowingly & willingly agree to deliver 100-500+ pounds 3-10 miles for $4 gross or $8 gross for that matter, wouldn't 25 years ago when i got my license wouldn't do it today either

it was legal in 1971 when cab drivers gor 100% of $2.50 minimum fares with no maintenance responsibility

as an "independent contractor" running my OWN business basic contract law states I have the rights to the details of my contract before having to accept or be bound by it. I have the right to know how much my contract pays, approx how long my contract will take to conplete, how much weight(pax) ill be transporting, how far away & in what direction my contract will take me to decide if the contract will cover my costs especially when 90% of the contracts WONT because of 1970s wages

who signs or offers blank contracts? lol sure well just fill it in later so you lose money

if they don't want to show destination fine show approx fare then when labor sees $3-4 or $4-8 they have a choice to be an idiot & work for free

everything they do is to trick idiots into driving for free this isnt some 1 out of 100 trips which might be acceptable as a mistake its 9 out of 10 times which is calculated evil & wage theft

any 3rd grade math student can verify these costs, its why the shittered the exchange program, "humans" at this "company" actually think the app deserves more on minimum fares than labor lmao & it actually made it into the app like labor won't notice or get back lol

$2 is what you give for plate or bottle delivery of 100 feet or a 3 pound pizza delivery in the 1990s not what you pay someone to deliver hundreds of pounds miles on demand

more than half their "customers" cant afford the service a car ir a scooter for that matter, once they charge & pay legal rates which they never will half of them go back to the bus or bumming rides

$2 lmao
seriously
"adults"
$2

was watching cant buy me love which had to been in the 80s too & Chuckie was asking for $2 to hand over the remote lmao
i-want-my-two-dollars.jpg

whats wrong with some of you? you cant be serious or work for evil corp its 1 or the other just know 1 day when the bribes run out the feds will bust the door down & they all going to prison they will trigger the next crash or lunatic gone wild

Of course you can. I volunteer at a music festival. I work long hours running a volunteer crew. I do it because I love the festival.

I get paid a total of:
- free admission
- two meals per day, prepared by volunteers
- up to three volunteer t-shirts (I only take two)
- a free guest and a half price guest (These are because I run a crew.)
- free use of chemical toilets
- a free shower in a communal shower room in the campground (gender segregated, but open air)

I pay for my camper space during the festival, and I pay for storing my camper there when the festival is not going on.

Oh, and I get backstage privileges. :smiles:

you do know there are laws for actual companies based on number of employees right?

your neighbor can offer you $2 for the hour it takes to mow the lawn, acme landscaping with 10-100 employees can not & evil corp with 1000+ employees cannot

they have to pay a legal minimum amount & that amount can never be ZERO lol

lol "VOLUNTEER"

i didn't sign up for charity, play games, go on quests, "earn" stars, badges, comments, starbucks coupon, get "rewards & bonuses" from money stolen from my actual earnings,

i signed up for legal part time labor "gig" that stated i can drive when i want & set my own schedule as an "independent contractor"

& i excersie those rights while documenting every illegal activity these apps engage in

uber Lyft is not volunteer work lmao

funny i actually produce concerts & silly me I pay people to work them

would love to see an employer go—yes, you are hired and you can be on the clock and simply not work (not lunch or break either
Been there. Even with a 14 hr day getting 1.5x after 8hr & 2x after 10 or 12hrs. We sat around waiting for the next bout of work to do, no need to hide. The real world isn't always so hyper rational.

uber lyft is 100% organized crime they offer zero benefits unless you learn to play the game

those rules were set so riders would be safe & drivers could operate at a profit

outside of ny or a handful of cities the cab business wasn't an issue & its not something poor people use daily nor is it a human right

the fact you think 15 year old personal vehicles should be allowed to be used commericially more than half the time without a commercial ride share endorsement (which most drivers dont carry & uber Lyft doesnt verify or inform them tbey need(negligence)) is all I need to know about how much you care about public safety

its all good
me me me
seems to be what these apps are based in tapped right into that hard wired self preservation trait

im guilty to its me me me 10+ mile rids only everything else cancelled, passed off to the exploited oh well someones gotta do those rides i suppose

just scary to me how many "adults" will degrade & risk their lives for 2 tacos but i guess the "choose" to work for free or 1970s wages so why should i care
Don't gotta be all cynical about it. I love Uber & the execs & investors. They are special people & I drive like a volunteer, like someone who volunteers to give a profiting music festival free labor just so I can be a part of it. I donate my time & car to Uber so those guys can get richer. It's cool cuz I love them, & I get perks like a few dollars for the rides I give, & I get to be a part of it all.

They won't let me back stage yet, but if they had a stage they probably would. It's free to give someone a back stage pass so why wouldn't they give me one for my volunteering?

Hourly wage rewards the lazy, punishes the hard-working. I once heard that 20% of a company does 80% of the work.
This is so true. I got laid off from my last job because our Northeast reps (8 of us total) performed 60% of all the field work and there were 65 reps across the US.

I miss that job :frown:

Sounds like the real world eventually crashed otherwise I can’t imagine anyone not still be there.
