I wear a nice shirt & tie. I play Beethoven. I open doors for pax. My car is spotless.

It would be very nice if we could know who criticized us & why. Just knowing my "professionalism could have been better" doesn't tell me anything. My professionalism is on point.

Could this have been from a no-show? I had my first one the other day. They answered my call, but said they had cancelled the request. The request was still active, so I waited (the supposedly mandated) 5 minutes, then marked them a no-show. I drove pretty far out of town for this & didn't feel I should just be stiffed.

I'm a little bit miffed over it, I had a dead-on 5-star rating before this.

If you do not start the trip they cannot rate so it couldn't have been the no-show.

Maybe it was someone who was confused and they meant to give you a professionalism badge but instead gave you a professionalism complaint.

I'm always curious about people who feel the need to come to this board and post a thread about how they got one bad rating. And of course they're always a perfect 5-star driver and don't deserve it.

    What's up with these people?

  5. It's because you are offering too much for a low price, so this raises their expectations even higher for the ride you are giving them. If you play the peasant, and let them play a king, they will deficate on you like a king. It boggles my mind that people go through this kind of effort for such slave wages. We are slowly becoming a 3rd world country.

Give the young blood a break. He is obviously a new driver if he had a perfect rating before this.

  8. OP you forgot the foot massage, that's why you got reported.

I've found I'm 35% more likely to get a tip when I give foot massages using Lilac scented lotion vs. strawberry scented. YMMV

  10. I use an ex-foliating lotion that reduces the blisters, it's a 5 star for sure.

Probably just someone who pushed the wrong buttons in the app. Or was drunk. Or confused you with someone else. It happens.

    Stop doing the following:

    I wear a nice shirt & tie.
    I play Beethoven.
    I open doors for pax.

It could be a fake message sent from Uber to try to Mind F you and keep you on your toes. They like to play mind games to control the drivers to make them think they are doing us a favor when we are doing them a favor and driving for no income just payday loan revenue.

Ot it could have been another Uber driver who thinks you are doing too much and making pax expect too much from us

Quite frankly those messages and badges mean nothing, you rating is the only thing that matters.

"professionalism" is generally the catch all for telling a customer you won't do something.

Make someone toss out a drink?
Tell someone they couldn't overload the car (too many people)
Tell someone you won't go cruising for hookers?

Those generated "professionalism" complaints for me.

Well I got a few complaints delivering for Uber Eats. One was professionalism. Can't even think why. I have always been the utmost professional and with deliveries you spend about a whole 1 to 2 minutes if that with the customer. And I have never had an issue at any restaurants. And the other was not going to the door. Well I always go to the door even if it says they will meet at the curb I just get out of my car so that is bogus. I think they just want a free ride or free food.
