I will no longer drive for Uber unless it's a surge and with the even lower fares it probably still not even worth it. After filing taxes after expenses I didn't even clear minimum wage per hour. Uber may not but I certainly count my time driving to pickups and long rides home without pay. I also refuse to drive the late night drunks so I know I am missing out on higher fares but the reward is not worth the risk. I work full time so this was a side gig for me and I still feel like a sucker. I can only imagine how drivers who are forced to do this full time and more who bought new cars believing is the Uber hype of 80-90 grand a year. Lol! The only way to beat Uber at their own game is to stop driving. They are the only one making money after all.
