I don't understand how the fare is calculated...

You might want to post this question in the NY forum under Cities since it is market-specific question. Other drivers in your market are most likely to know the answer. Might want to share a few more details as to general area of this ride and miles & minutes.

Lol wow. Uber is just looking for fees. Next thing you know, "Uber oxygen fee." "Uber ponies and rainbows fee." "Uber just for the hell of it fee."

  • Base Fare: $7
  • Per Minute: $0.65
  • Per Mile: $3.75
  • Cancellation Fee: $10
  • Service Fees: $0
  • Minimum Fare: $15

You need the miles / min spent on this trip to figure out the math.

Oh, right, that, too. Lol what a croc, this business.
NYC has many different rules and fees that even the almighty Uber can't escape. The city has a Black Car Fee and they place sales tax on a service. Almost the entire country only places sales tax on goods not service.

Some organization should sue NYC under the charge that it is a giant slum lord and fine the city one million dollars per week until all the rats in the city have been eradicated. Let them know what trivial residual income fees feel like.
