I don't care how, but Uber needs to stop exploiting drivers and pay them a sensible wage. This is 2017, unemployment is less than 5 percent, wages are growing, and it's about time Uber got some leadership and made some damn changes.

I'll drive high for higher pay if that's what it takes.

├╝ber will consider raising the rates or reducing their commish, if they begin to have problems keeping enough cars out there to bring in their cash.

Although, its more likely, they'll try buying more ad time to recruit new partners first, before going to the extreme of raising rates.

Raising rates might cost Uber too many customers to city buses, or even encourage the customers to stay home instead of go out in the first place.

They arent going to raise it a dime. They dare you to get a real job. They know you will complain, then sign on thinking today is the day I get rich.

I have a "real" job. Uber is my side gig. But it's becoming less and less something that makes financial sense to do.

I have used Uber to create personal clients and have found other driving gigs that are more profitable when its not surging. I highly recommend it if you have that luxury.
