Hero wanted. Lost wallet. Please help.

Hi,

My fiancee lost her wallet in an uber last night but she doesn't have the app or any contact information.
It has everything in it.

Her last name is Strome. We live at 11708 - 88 Street, Edmonton.

I don't know if there's a way drivers can help spread the word but any help at all would mean the world to us.

If you want to get a hold of me, my name is Ken - 587 334-5141.

Thank you so much.

You would need to contact the person who requested the Uber ride if it is not you or your fiancee. They can then report the loss to Uber through their app for that specific ride and Uber will contact the driver.
There are very few drivers in Edmonton on this forum so you may not get any response here.
Failing this you can go to the Uber Greenlight Hub at 10180 105 St and explain your situation and see if the item was handed in, though that is doubtful.
Best of luck.

Sinply call Uber to see if they have it in their secure lost and found. Oh, people actually think it's that simple. Pretty sure cab companies have phones and a lost and found.

Absolutely. Just reminding people of what Uber is: A fake cab company. A company full of lies.
Amazing that someone has to come to a forum to inquire about a lost item. It simply exposes the flaws in the new innovation.
So let this be a reminder that Uber does not have a phone and further no lost and found. A simple call to any cab company would be able to trace the call and know which cab it was and ask the driver. Uber fails with this technology.

As Billyboi pointed out, you would have to contact the person who ordered the Uber.
Uber spends time and money on software to track drivers and riders without any thought to providing a lost and found. It also has software known as Greyball to avoid the authorities and another one to spy on its competitors. When you download the app, you give consent to Uber to share your files, photos and location. Also your contact list. You as a rider also obsolve Uber of any damage you may incur with your ride. Then Uber uses this information to track you. Yes, Uber knows where you are. They know your routines.
Best of luck with the wallet and sorry that I couldn't help. Just wanted to let you know that Uber does not have a secure lost and found. Malls, airports and many other businesses do, but not Uber.

3 years ago, Edmontonians were abuzz with Uber. The media was bought outright as this is hiw they make their money. Uber pitted themselves against the taxi industry. Taxi drivers were fearful that their jobs would be lost to a company that provide rides much like a taxi. Yes,we were told that Uber provides innovation, not just from Uber but also from Don Iveson.
For 2 years Uber lied to its drivers and general public. Uber was operating illegally without business licenses and without proper insurance, placing drivers and riders at risk.
Then Uber was regukated, but not like taxis. The drivers are not vetted in the same way, they do not have to provide the same level of service, which would include a lost and found. What is worse, is that Uber drivers are simply pawns. Their drivers and taxi drivers will never make a living, while Uber will hope to make a money. So far it has lost 9 billion. Just read other posts and you will see.
The love in for Uber has faded. This was clearly the case just before they were regulated. Ramit Kar had only about 30 out supporting him in front of the legislative building. Just mostly a few drivers, and this after Uber sent out 2500 text message to all its drivers and many more thousands to its riders. Uber also rewards its riders with promo coupons for those attending.
Did you know that all Uber drivers must display an placard on their cars? 90% don't. Uber is about cheating. Drivers even know how to manipulat the surge pricing in order to screw the riders. It has become a screw them all world and Uber does this well.
Google anything about Uber, and you will read about how this company is con job taking advantage of drivers and riders.

So, take a few minutes and read this article. Billboi and some if his friends

Thanks, and sorry for my long post.

People are now realizing why there are regulations and how Uber broke the laws. Basically, the public has come to learn that with a low price comes many disadvantages.

I actually get 10 calls per year for lost keys etc. The system in place works. And uber is a rideshare company. I don't pickup crazies off the street lol

Uber has a 24 hour phone number and support line.

18005937069

In app attempt to contact the rider or call police. Police probably have record of driver.
