Expenses percentage

I've been doing some math.

I have kept a meticulous spreadsheet on expenses, the money I've made on Uber, etc. I've included all expenses.

So I have come to the following computation:

If you are a part-timer, doing 15-30 hours a week, you should be prepared to figure that 20%-30% of what you make PER HOUR should be dedicated to expenses. This includes gas, maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc), and taxes.

Now, if you are a part timer, brakes and tires should last you ABOUT two years, depending on how much you drive and how hard you drive.

I come up with about 25% as a full timer. It was less last year when our biggest expense (fuel) was half the price.
