I'm thinking of selling my 2008 car next week so I can continue ubering because I'm an uberpoolfool.....
I last did a drive clean test last year August (for sticker renewal), Do I need to do another for transfer of ownership, or is last year's test still valid (for purposes of transfer of ownership)?

Thanks you.

On date of transfer the emission test report should NOT be more than 90 days old.

A valid test pass is not needed if you are transferring a vehicle to an immediate family member, including:

  • spouse
  • parent, stepparent
  • grandparent, step-grandparent
  • child, stepchild
  • grandchild, step-grandchild
  • sibling, half-sibling
  • father-in-law, mother-in-law
  • son-in-law, daughter-in-law
  • brother-in-law, sister-in-law

Or you can sell as-is, the buyer will do it by himself before transfer.
