CC flaw?

Hi guys, new here.

Have a quick question regarding CC.

I drive a lexus ct200h.

It is exempt from ulez as well as Congestion Charge.

But as a private hire driver I am not exempt from congestion charge...

So if I drive within the zone for personal reasons, not as a private hire driver for work, does that mean I'm still exempt, or I need to pay for CC simply because my car has the 'badge'.

Also how would they know if I was driving in the area for work and not personal reasons?

Is this a flaw in the system?

Mate, ur exempt because of work not private use.

Does that make any sense?

I think its a flaw in your understanding. Exempt vehicles are still exempt. Your roundel has nothing to do with it.

What makes you think this car is exempt from the congestion charge?, I'm pretty sure it isn't.

ULEZ yes your exempt on the vehicle.

As many others have said.

Your car has not been CC Exempt for years. It was exempt only as a PH Vehicle.

I hope you are a troll because TFL don't play when it comes to money/fines

If your vehicle is exempt it will remain exempt regardless of any use.
