Calling all Mississippi drivers!

So I'm a greenhorn, in my 4th week coming up driving Jackson, MS. I commute 70 miles one way to get to Jackson. Started Friday Saturday nights 9pm to 5-6am. Added Thursday night last weekend. It's a part time gig for me as I have a state job Sundays through Wednesdays. Just hoping to hear from other drivers, Lyft & Uber in the area.

I do drive through Vicksburg on my way in and 4 out of five times just passing through have picked up a fare, so V'Burg drivers chime in as well.

Heck since it seems MS can't get a city here anyway we might as well all join forces! Gulfport, Biloxi, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs, Hattiesburg, Vicksburg, Jackson, Oxford calling all drivers.

My longest trip to date yesterday. Rained out regular job in Vicksburg decided to try Jackson daytime on a Monday. W/O the long trip would have been crappy day. Lesson learned, at least my long trip brought me closer to home.

I'm learning on the fly. 1st and 2nd week were Thursday and Friday with 2nd week including the supposedly $400 new driver bonus that in actuality turned out to be only $60 after "guaranteed earnings above $400" wtf over?

Just started myself in the Starkville area but no one here seems to know Uber is available. I am thinking of trying the Oxford or Jackson areas. Any suggestions?
Stay put for home games ur in now that it's football season. If state is playing away and Ole Miss is home might be worth ur drive up. From what I hear lot of Memphis driver's doing the game weekends in Oxford which should not be allowed IMo.

I'm here in Biloxi/gulfport area. My first week. Weekend was ok. There's seems to be a few out in this area
Quite a few especially at night, I've only done a couple of weekends there put relocating to Biloxi tomorrow so think I may try some day time vs. night time there. BOL

Promote .
Bars, Dr. Offices, mechanic shops etc.
Let them know you are in town.

Be sure to give out your Promotion Code that earns you money when riders take first ride.

Hand out your promotion Code at the " STAGGER INN" sports club
So they can STAGGER OUT TO AN UBER !
Make Starksville safe for Staggering !

Hi from Jackson. Part-time here, not my main job but a useful fill-in. Mostly having fun with it so far, it's been 4 months.

I'm an Uber/Lyft driver on the MIssissippi Gulf Coast, but I'm also a real estate investor in McComb, MS. When I'm up in McComb I turn rideshare on and it usually pays for my gas and lunch. I'm only there once a week or so. I really only continue to rideshare to pay for my fuel while looking for distressed properties to flip, it's a good way to reduce my expenses. I like meeting new people, too, and many times I have connected with "money people" for real estate transactions. I met my financial manager through Uber.

If anyone is interested, I'm running an ugly house challenge until the middle of April for the prize of a TCL 55in Flatscreen TV. If anyone rideshares in the McComb area and have the ability to provide a picture and address of single family residences that look like they are in a distressed state in McComb, MS. I'll compensate with said TV or cash value.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast seems to be really picking up, even in Bay St. Louis. Usually it's either Casino or Bar patrons, sometimes airport trips. My favorite times to work are overnight in Gulfport/Biloxi/Long Beach/Ocean Springs as there are less drivers out and more for me. My craziest fare was this middle ages party couple with thick cajun accents, arguing back and forth about their relationship, it was very soap opera. Oh and a car full, 5 people, in Margi Gras costume. Not that exciting but I guess I'm not too hard to please.

I'm not a driver but I've been considering it. I'm about to be 18 and I'm not making much money at walmart and i usually dont get scheduled much so I'm thinking this could be a good side hustle. I live in Brandon and i used to regularly call an uber to and from school so i would assume theres many calls down here because there were many drivers. And i know for a fact that Jackson is a busy city, so as long as your brave enough to drive down there I say go for it.

Hey y’all. New driver here. Tonight will be my first time. I’ll be driving for Uber and Lyft, at the same time. I live in Benton, near Yazoo City, but I’ll be driving down to Jackson for this. Figured it might be a good way to bring in some pocket cash. I work a day job Monday-Friday, and my other half works a lot of weekend evenings, so I’ll use that free time to drive. Any tips for a newbie? Thanks in advance!

Hey Im from Tuscaloosa, AL / and visited Columbus Mississippi for a day - ate at the Profits Porch there. it was GREAT / but I noticed there were only 2 other uber or lyft drivers around and the only resteraunts on uber-eats were both McDonalds just 2 -2 of them / so Anyway it is not all that far but if you come to UA in Tuscaloosa make sure you go to the Publix store there at the Bryant Denny stadium / right near there in the private parking area directly acroos the street from the grocery store is our Rideshare parking areas / make sure you park there / I do alot it is very nice of them to have set this up for us / lol debating about how about a porta restroom he he ? hbd.
