Don't be sad, one day they may let you be an Uber driver too!

Believe it or not, even though it is a chain, TGIF has some of the best bartenders in the world...and is far from "easy". Especially when it gets slammed on a friday night. Only time bartending is easy is if it is a slow bar that does mostly beer and/or doesn't care about drink quality. As for everything else, you should read us going back and forth in this thread: https://uberpeople.net/threads/to-a...-their-real-job-recently.131487/#post-1937522. In that thread I try to tell him how useless bartending classes are and how most hiring bar managers laugh at people who think they actually mean something. And how the only real way to get ahead is to bar back, learn, and work your way up.

As long as I turn a profit in my cab you don't need to worry about me Ubering.

I am curious... How come you are on an Uber site if you have such strong anti Uber emotions?

The mere fact that you consider Uber "The enemy" tells me that you are concerned about Uber dipping into your own income. That also tells me that the days of the taxi cab are all but over.

I am assuming that you are working a true 40 hours while driving your taxi?

Don't assume things. My opinion of you is already challenged.

You are assuming I really care about your opinion.
And GROSSING 4,000 in 17 days is not really that big of a deal. That is just over $235.00 per day which is almost $30.00 per hour (again, assuming an 8 hour work day).
    Here is the kicker:
If you are actually making that much, then that would have you making over 61K a year.
The problem is that, according to Monster and salary, the range for Taxi drivers in your area is between 27K and 40K so, either you are an extraordinary driver or, you are being less then honest.

Come on, man. You post some fairly astute things, but this "anybody who disputes me must be paid off" nonsense is beneath you.

You should be proud to be an Uber Driver Steve. Earned 360 from fairs since Monday, plus tips and the 175 bonus. So about 600 minus expenses, but All in 3 days PART TIME with Uber only. Another guy on here made 1,500 in a week. You just gotta work hard and not waste time bro. Work smart. You're in an even better market than me. Don't feel sorry for yourself. I'm preaching this to you to help you cuz I know you can do it.
