Boulder Highway BOYCOTT

Got stuck at Boulder Hwy. Get a ping for Albertson's (Why did I take it? Why?) I know better.

Get there for express pool. There are several sets of people outside and a nice little domestic argument going on in the parking lot. The pax are there with a cart and 10 bags but they never wave or tell me they are the passengers until it is five seconds before cancellation time. I want to cancel so bad but I can't escape them, they are right there. I asked why they didn't wave and tell me it was them and he said they were finishing their cigarette.

The girl takes her cart over the curb and carelessly gets it inches from my car. I get out so I can supervise the nonsense.

Oh, GOODIE, it's 1.5 miles to their destination. The cancel would have paid the same as driving these low life pieces of crap.

We get to their crappy apartment complex and I stop outside the gate. (It's express pool, we are at the dropoff). He says, 'the gate code is blah, blah, blah.' I say, 'this is express pool, you walk from here.' The woman says, '@@@@@, you don't have anyone else, why can't you drive us the rest of the way?' I say, 'you picked express, if you want that service, pick X or pool.

I have to get out of the car to open the hatch. AWESOME. Now, I am a few feet from them and they are berating me. "Why do you hate your job so much?"

When I am a safe distance away, I do get a bit mouthy and say, 'if the job was always like this (meaning with people like them), I wouldn't be doing it.' She says, "i'm going to give you 1 star.' I mock back "OH, NOOOOOOOOO!"

So, they report me for being intoxicated. And, I'm deactivated for 24 hours.

Have fun over there.

FUN FACT: The only other time I was deactivated by UBER was about a year ago due to another volatile, low life at Boulder Hwy. She told UBER that I hit her with my car when she actually hit my car.

Yes, I know better than to pickup on Boulder Hwy. From now on, I will drive away or destination filter out of there.

Today, another pool express (north side) berated me for not taking them inside a complex (i had another pax in the car this time). I said, this guy needs to get where he is going. He says, 'i do this all the time, it's supposed to be all the way inside.) I'm like, the ride is over.

He's like, 'you need to quit talking.' I'm like, you are a guest in my car and I'll talk as much as I like. Buh-bye. Uber actually blocked their low rating.

I'm not going to kiss these grifter's ass. If you want to reply and tell me I should, save it. Stay on your knees. I've got mace.

I am done with Wal-Mart / grocery store pickups. If I get there, you are pool, and you have a cart, I'm gone. Out of there.

Unfortunately the few bad apples spoil it for the rest. There are a lot of good people on that side of town. However a few bad rides will be the one's you remember and dictate your future behaviour.

I too have been deactivated after a fare I picked up on that side of town. However my ride was totally uneventful and actually had great conversation the whole time. It was a 20 mile fare which obviously this lowlife piece of shit human being couldn't afford. I was pissed and unfortunately now have to paint that side of town with a broad brush cause of one bad apple.

That is messed up!

Yes, the bad apples ruin it. The person I dropped off at Boulder (right before these people) gave me a $12 tip.

It’s simple. Don’t pick up on boulder highway unless it’s at one of the casinos there (boulder station, long horn, Arizona Charlie’s, sams town, eastside cannery)

I’ve never had any problems with people I have picked up from those locations. If it’s an express Pool at a grocery store like that just drive by and start the timer. If no one flags or waves you down to get your attention after the 2 minute then just collect your cancel money and move on to the next one.

Had a pickup the other day. It was an express Pool. Right away the person says “I am at the wal mart with a cart of groceries I can’t walk there”. The pin was across the street about 1000 feet from there. Found an easy spot and waited at the pin 2 minutes and collected my cancel fee after.

I’ve been boycotting that area for months now, nothing to see there, plus I meet disrespect with a barrage of words and my temper is suited for tourist( most are happy). Some thugs on boulder highway would get me put in jail, as I would prolly have to beat them down

Now that’s a pro in my book, when Uber gives you lemons , make lemonade, and COLLECT than cancel fee, well done

I turn my app off when I'm in bad areas, and drive out. They wonder why they are underserved.
I did that when I first started out because I am a 125 lb woman and I was scared.

But, I changed over time and grew to pickup anywhere at 4am. If someone makes me uncomfortable and a thought of fear drops in my mind, I sit up straight and think to myself, "Wait, I will murder THEM." (In case anyone misunderstands....this is a joke I tell myself. I don't mean it.)

How long did it take you to learn to stay out of certain areas? A few are OK and respectful but 90% of them will treat you like crap! Next time cancel on crap like that!

I love Express pool. For me it’s like a race to the finish line. Get there ASAP and start the timer. Turn Lyft on in case they don’t show up. 1/3 of the time they don’t walk to the pickup point

It reduces your hourly A LOT to drive away from an area unpaid. Gas is almost $3.50 now. I agree with the last post about racing from one pool to the next and turn on other app. Last night, i accepted one, couldnt find this weird spot near Rhino. And, did a quick pickup/dropoff from Lotus to Rhino. Then, got first guy.

I try to hit $30+/hr. Never under $25

You always drive in...dick move in my book. It's either that or cancel when they have all the groceries. Your choice.

They got express pool. Dont be a dick and ask for something you did not pay for. Especially, when you already qualified for a cancellation to finish a cigarette. They are all yours, hon.

2? Haha you could technically have 2 people at the same wal mart on an express Pool each with a cart of groceries. That would be fun. Coin toss? Rock Paper Scissors? :roflmao:
