best places to find price surging?

Discussion in 'Advice' started by Kerplunkenstein, Sep 13, 2015.

  1. Anyone have ideas? Sporting events/concerts/ bars at closing time/bad weather etc?

I was told by my Lyft mentor that sporting events/concerts is a bad idea.

Yesterday I got my first 'surge' fare and it was only a 'minimum' :(

You need to ask your subgroup city/state in this forum. Surge areas are pre-placed in certain sections on the uber map.

You can also look at your map during surge and see where are good places to be.
  3. As a general rule, chasing surges never works. You're not the only driver with that idea. Chasing a surge is like looking for the end of the rainbow - by the time you get there, it's gone.
    BeautifulMusik and Nissan13 like this.

Find out find out if the surge areas are combination of people being picked up and dropped off in that area. Example five passengers need a ride two passengers are being dropped off for a total of 7 causing a surge. I have no idea just what I've seen. Can I see eyes that play tricks
