UPHD is calling for 100% private hire trade unity for public protest against @TfLTPH 10am Monday. We need as many PHVs as possible on Blackfriars Road to show trade opposition to @SadiqKhan's congestion charge on the poor. All operators should direct drivers to the demo.

Note to members: Blackfriars Road will be closed both ways 10am Monday to facilitate our protest against @TfLTPH. PHV drivers can access the area to park up outside Palestra. Just tell police you're attending demo. Arrive 9:30 & position on adjacent streets then drive out at 10am

You would have to be an utter fool not to take a few hours not to take part.

Some of you probably to young to remember the poll tax but direct action got that removed.

You just have to look at what the French achieve.

This whole thing has nothing to do with pollution, just another frigging money grab.

Good luck to those protesting tomorrow let’s hope TFL don’t get nasty & take registration numbers of those protesting & report them for entering the CC zone without a booking.

Just pay up. Tfl has bent all the laws to accommodate ph. Your license should be revoked for accepting bookings without an operator license...and that’s coming from Uber!,
Just charge the public the extra money...they’ll soon get back on their bus.

The poll tax was a hollow victory....became the community charge instead so everyone cheered and paid up.
It’s a money grab for sure but the correct one. Minicabs should be in the suburbs where they are needed and causing least congestion...in central a private car pays. It’s that simple.

    Lol

    You are delusional.

If nobody in Central London wanted to use PH they wouldn't book them.

Then you pay up. You shouldn’t be given any preferential treatment over other private cars who have to pay up. You drivers are even earning peanuts out of using a private car in central.
The public aren’t aware that’s drivers have been accepting bookings without an operator license. Invalid insurance followed so they’re only using Uber because they think it’s safe. Tragic really.
