It has been 40 minutes since my last ping the uber notice about the vehicle year regulations were misleading it said you cannot drive after the 15th not on the 15th it's going down
Whether they let you accept passengers or not is irrelevant. It's obvious that uber kept you online in order for them to make more money. But when the time comes and you get a ticket or an accident, they are going to tell you that you were emailed about the new regulations, therefore you are no longer eligible or insured. Uber will also not be fighting your ticket because you are knowingly breaking the law, not them. Accept passengers at your own risk.
This makes sense. If they have sent you a note saying you are no longer allowed to drive after the 15th (tomorrow) I would make today your last driving day
I think you're taking an unnecessary risk. Uber should not allow you to go online if they know your car does not meet the imposed criteria, thus sparing you the headache.
Some drivers have already been removed. Like most Uber implementations they start with 10% of drivers monitor then keep rolling out in sections. It would kill everything if they got the Geo Fence wrong and drivers were banned in areas outside Toronto.
